The history of Nigüelas dates back to prehistoric times. Various archaeological finds, such as stone tools and pottery shards, attest to the presence of these early settlers. The area continued to be inhabited during the Metal Age, especially the Bronze Age, as evidenced by burials and metal objects that suggest an evolving society.
