There are many festivals in Serón, such as Cabalgata de Reyes Magos, La Candelaria, Día de Andalucía, Semana Santa, Entierro de la Sardina, Romería de la Virgen de la Cabeza, San Juan, Fiestas Patronales en Honor a la Virgen de los Remedios, San Miguel and Santa Lucía.
Since prehistory, Serón has been settled by numerous cultures. Among the most interesting local archaeological findings is the presence of the wine glass formation, which occurs along the Almanzora River and spreads throughout Europe.
Serón is situated on the northern slopes of the Sierra de los Filabres. At an altitude of just over 800m, it is one of the few Almerian towns that provide a perfect balance of rural tourism and the chance to be immersed in local culture. The town has around 2,000 inhabitants. Since prehistory, Serón has been settled by numerous cultures.
