Marbella Districts
Marbella extends much further east and west along the Costa del Sol than the town itself. Within the municipal boundaries of Marbella you will find a wide variety of sub-districts or neighbourhoods, most of which are dominated by spectacular views of "La Concha" mountain, which rises behind the town.

Marbella MUNICIPAL Boundary
The western boundary of Marbella is the River Guadalmina. Districts such as Atalaya, El Paraiso, Diana, Benavista, Benamara are part of the Estepona municipal district.
The eastern boundary of Marbella is located just east of Cabopino port. Calahonda (Sitio de Calahonda) district is part of Mijas (Mijas Costa) municipal district.
The 'Ronda Road' is the local name for the area either side of the A-376 road from San Pedro to Ronda above the AP-7 toll motorway, whilst this area is in practical terms north-west Marbella, it is actually part of Benahavís municipal district.
The northern boundary of Marbella is also shared with both the villages of Istan and Ojen.

Marbella town hall defines nine districts as follows:

Distrito 2.
Cortijo Blanco, Fuente Nueva, El Salto, Arquillo y Fuente Espanto.
Distrito 3.
Nueva Andalucía, La Campana y Puerto Banús.

Río Verde a Guadalpín, Molino de Viento y Calvario-Huerta Belón.
Distrito 5.
