Suggested routes
The best route to take is to head south of Colmenar on the C345 towards Malaga. The road hugs the park border, passing pine forests and cork oak woodland. About 15km south of Colmenar there is a roadside spring, the Fuente de la Reina, and opposite here is the main entry point to the park.
A forest track leads to El Cerrado picnic area a few kilometres from the main road and there are some signposted walks from here. The southernmost section of the C345 has stupendous views down to the coast.
