History

Dólar has its roots in the Late Roman Empire and was later an important Muslim settlement noted by al-Idrisi for its fortified hilltop castle. After the Reconquista, it became part of the Marquisate of Cenete.

Martin de la Jara

Martín de la Jara sits on the border between the province of Seville and the province of Málaga. Here you will also find one of the biggest salt lakes in Seville. It has about 2,700 inhabitants.

Guadalcázar

Guadalcázar has preserved various archaeological remains which have become its principal tourist attraction. The town welcomes visitors who want to enjoy the tranquillity and peace of mountainous surroundings. It has about 1,600 inhabitants.

Zahara de los Atunes Bus Services

Comes provide a daily bus service M-912 from Cadiz city (departing 11.00), San Fernando, Chiclana, San Andres golf, El Colorado to Conil de la Frontera, continuing on to Vejer, La Barca de Vejer, Barbate, Zahara de las Atunes and Atlanterra. Return service at 08.15 and 18.45. Aditionally there are six services a day between Conil and Atlanterra.

Villanueva del Rey

Upon entering the village of Villanueva del Rey, visitors are welcomed by the Ermita de Santiago el Menor, a beautiful chapel providing just a small insight into the rich local history. It has around 1080 inhabitants.

Monumento a los Descubridores

The monument was initiated in 1891 by Manuel Echegoyán and finished a year later, coinciding with the celebration of the fourth centenary of the discovery of America. The initiative for building the monument dates back to late 1875, when the President of the Diputación de Huelva, Antonio González Ciézar, exposes the idea of erecting a monument in honour of the participants in the discovery of America.

Bus service in La Peza

There is a bus service from La Peza to Granada City using the bus company, BAM. More> The bus station in La Peza is on GR-3102.raditional route linking Guadix and Almería with Granada, which was also widely travelled during the Middle Ages.

Gerena

Gerena is rich in archaeological remains, famous Andalusian architecture and unique landscape which consist mostly of abandoned quarries. It is the perfect destination for nature lovers and hunting enthusiasts. It has about 7400 inhabitants.

Granada City Districts

The historical city and student town of Granada has six main districts: The Realejo, The Cartuja, Bib-Rambla, Sacromonte, Albaicin and Zaidin. The Albaicin is the Moorish area of the city and the oldest part of Granada. It offers stunning views of the Alhambra from its hillside as it sits directly opposite the Moorish Palace. You won't find a more atmospheric place to stay in Granada than in the Albaicin.

Main Patio, Casa de Pilatos

The main courtyard is typically Mudejar in style, with exquisite plaster-decorated arches, and later elements of Gothic, Renaissance and romantic. Built at the end of the 15th century by Pedro Enríquez and Catalina de Rivera, the patio features an open patio surrounded by irregularly sized arches.
