IGLESIA DE SANTA ANA

O' Grady's Pub in puerto Banus

Bustling Irish bar located on the second line. Popular with young locals and tourists, many of whom are (not surprisingly) from Ireland. Resident DJ but not too much room to dance. An outdoor bar is useful for quick service and for watching major sports events.

Madrid Hotels

Whether a grand 5-star luxury hotel, an inexpensive, family-owned hostel, or something in between, Madrid has comfortable and affordable accommodations for travellers of all types. Landmark hotels in Madrid such as The Ritz and The Palace Hotel exceed desired elegance, while quaint establishments make guests feel "at home".

Castillo de Lopera

In Lopera we find one of the best examples of thirteenth-century castles built by the Military Order of Calatrava in the province of Jaén. Thanks to restoration work, the Castle of Lopera has recovered its original appearance, and the deterioration caused by time has been avoided in a fortress.

Sausages

The pigs of Andalucia also contribute to the making of sausages, with red chorizo and black morcilla being the best-known. The villages in the vicinity of Ronda and Antequera (Málaga) are renowned for their sausages. Sausages, along with pulses, potatoes and vegetables go into hearty stews and soups that are winter fare.

Kitesurfing - Areas in Tarifa

Since the sport can be potentially dangerous, with boards moving along at up to 80km/h, surfers and bathers are separated by yellow buoys on Tarifa’s beaches. Two kitesurf zones along the beaches to the north of Tarifa are strictly enforced in the summer when the beaches are crowded with bathers. In the winter, rules are more relaxed.

History of Busquístar

The exact origins of this village are unknown, but evidence suggests that it dates back to the 13th century. During the period of Muslim domination, Busquístar belonged to the 'yuz' of Ferreyra, and then to the Taha of Ferreyra.

Mollina

There has been a human settlement on the site of this small town (current population just over 3,500) since Neolithic times. Just 15km north-west of Antequera on the A92, on the lower slopes of the Sierra de Mollina, this is set in perfect olive and cereal country. It is also a mere ten km from the Laguna de Fuente de la Piedra lake, famous for its pink flamingos.

Huelva - Lamb Stew

Place the lamb in a stew pot with the ham bone, tomato, onion, pepper, garlic, parsley, mint, bay leaves, salt and pepper and wine. Add enough water to just cover the meat. Personal Development

Personal development as a subject - and course offering - is relatively new in Andalucia (and most parts of Spain). However, as more and more foreigners from northern Europe, flock to this region, an increasing number of workshops, seminars and courses are being offered in English and other languages - and you will find the occasional course offering in Spanish as well.
