Segway tours in El Puerto de Santa Maria
These two-wheeled upright electric vehicles. If you have never ridden one you will be surprised how quickly you can master the Segway. You simply stand on them and hold the handles of the vertical column to steer. Standing still on the spot requires a little more practice.
They are a great way of seeing the city centre, now largely pedestrianised, if you don't want to walk, or if your mobility is impaired but you're happy to stand. They are small enough to fit down the narrowest of alleyways in the town, and you can also use them on the cycle lanes in the city and along the promenades.
Price range from about 35 euro per person for one-hour guided tour (includes a short training and safety session). Usually a minimum of two persons is required or you may be able to join a small group.
Its perhaps not the best way to try to hear to the guides explanation of the history of the city as it is more difficult to get up close in a small group. A Segway tour is certainly one of the most fun ways to explore a city.
