Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de la Anunciación

Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de la Anunciación

The church’s construction began in 1500 on the site of a former mosque, although an inscription on its exterior façade reveals that the work continued for several years, until 1634. It is organized around a rectangular floor plan and divided internally into three naves by rows of semicircular arches. The central nave is covered by a Mudejar-style wooden or coffered ceiling and has a presbytery with a choir stall at the foot. The church houses an important archive with collections from the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. Located on Avenida Constitución.
