THINGS TO SEE

Iglesia Parroquial de San Agustín

The first church in Lobras was destroyed in the mid-sixteenth century and had to be rebuilt amid the difficulties of the Moorish rebellion. The oldest element is the tower, which is attached to the small main chapel. The sacristy dates from 1766. The last major remodelling took place in 1884 after one of the walls collapsed and the framework was damaged in the Lisbon earthquake. The church, together with the Altarpiece of San Antonio and the holy water font, was declared a Heritage of Andalusia. It is located on Calle de la Iglesia.
