Walks from Aracena

West of Aracena is the GR 41.3 that runs all the way to La Nava taking in Los Marines, Fuenteheridos and Galaroza. This footpath goes past many groves of sweet chestnut trees, so it is a particularly beautiful walk to do in the autumn, when the changing colours of the chestnuts are spectacular.

La Palma del Condado

La Palma del Condado provides a traveller with many attractions both cultural and gastronomic during any season. The old part of town has been declared of cultural interest and the surrounding countryside is becoming ever more famous for their production of wine.

About La Axarquia

It's hard to believe that the wild beauty of the La Axarquía is just half an hour from the coast of Málaga's eastern Costa del Sol. These villages are as interesting as the better-known white villages to the west and inland from the more glitzy western Costa del Sol including the gateway of Marbella. Nerja, to be fair, is the jewel in the crown of this eastern stretch Costa del Sol coastline. It has maintained a certain old-fashioned charm with its magnificent palm-lined Balcón de Europa, justly famed as one of the most beautiful promenades on the Coast.

Via Verde of the Sierra de Baza

Via Verde Sierra de Baza follows the lower northern slopes of the Sierra de Baza. It lies just to the north and outside the Sierra de Baza natural park. The Via Verde Sierra de Baza is 9,4 km long and runs for a few km north and south of Baza town as far as the municipal limits with Zujar and Caniles.

former Velez-Malaga Tranvia

As you drive into Velez Malaga you may noticed tram line that connects the town with its coastal sister town in Torre del Mar. No need to slow down and look both ways before crossing. Construction began in 2003 of the 6km and 12 stations the southern phase between the two towns opened on 11 October 2006 at a cost of 46 million € and closed in 4th June 2012.

There are a number of privately operated heath clinics in Marbella for patients to go without referal as an alternative to the state health service.  The state run facility is called the 'Ambulatorio' and  called Centro de Salud Leganitos in Plaza Leganitos north of the old town, there are smaller Consultorio La Campana Avenida Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer in the Nueva Andalucia area, Centro de Salud San Pedro in Avenida Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer, and to the east of the town centre Centro de Salud  Las Albarizas in Avenida Las Albarizas 1, and to the east Consultorio La Chapas in Calle Pinsapo.

There are a number of privately operated heath clinics in Estepona for patients to go without referal as an alternative to the state health service.  The state run facility is called the 'Ambulatorio' and located on Avenida Juan Carlos, it has a 24hr emergency wing as well as the daytime medical appointment facilities.  The state hospital for Estepona is Hospital Costa del Sol in Marbella. 

El Andevalo

El Andévalo is the name of a 'comarca' (region or area) in the west of the province of Huelva. It is made up from 14 municipal districts and even more small villages.

El Condado

El Condado or 'El Condado de Huelva' is the name of a 'comarca' (region or area) in the south east of the province of Huelva. It is made up from 16 municipal districts and even more smaller villages.

Festivals in Manilva and Sabinillas

Since 2011 Sabinillas has hosted a full moon festival every August on its beaches, with live bands, dancing, body painting, craft stalls and friends getting together on the beach for moonlight picnics. The full moon festival was inspired by the famous lantern and full moon festival in Koh Pha Ngan in Thailand, although this one is more family orientated.

This unique opportunity to experience more inland Spain either before, after or during your blue water cruise can offer a pleasant break from the more common coastal destinations.

An increasingly popular tourist destination due to its beaches and coastal location, Almuñecar is home to some top-class restaurants serving high quality Spanish and Mediterranean cuisine. It has a good variety of restaurants, but the speciality here is the freshly-caught, local seafood and shellfish.

Bull Run

The Gaucin bull run, better known locally as the Toro de Cuerda, takes place every year on Easter Sunday. With the first bull released at around 10:30am, an early arrival is strongly encouraged to find your bearings, and more importantly, some good spots to see the run from. Parking can be found on the outskirts of the town and be careful with taking your car into the town as the streets can get very narrow.
