The Marina is located in the centre of the seafront promenade that leads eastward all the way to Torremolinos and westwards all along the front of Benalmadena. The marina is a very pleasant place for a stroll and to watch the boats. There are numerous bars and restaurants open at lunch time and in the evening.
In the centre of this bustling tourist town is one of the longest standing gyms on the coast. It has been open since 1980 years, but has been refurbished a few times along the way! It has a free weights area and cardiovascular machines room, as well as many classes on offer, such as aerobics, step, body conditioning and dance.
Torremolinos has a good selection of shops and shopping facilities, with everything from clothing to authentic Spanish leather products. The Calle San Miguel is pedestrianised and has an abundance of shops, as well as the main Plaza de Andalucia, which also has a wide variety of shops.
Torremolinos train station is located just off Calle San Miguel underground the Plaza de la Nogalera. Every 20 minutes local trains (known as cercanías) run east to Málaga (taking approx. 45 mns), stopping en route at Fuengirola and Malaga airport (AGP). Additional trains run just to Fuengirola.

Obviously times have changed since the swinging 60s and 70s, when Torremolinos was the playground of the rich and famous.
Opened in 2014 the Miguel Angel Jimenez golf academy has a Par 3 course. There are also several golf clubs within close vicinity of Torremolinos, including the first golf courses to be built on the Costa del Sol - Parador del Golf.
The prodigious building efforts that have turned Torremolinos into a highly urbanised area are also offset by the recent emergence of numerous small public gardens. More than one thousand species of trees have been planted in the town, ranging from the exotic magnolia and banana tree, to vibrantly colourful beds of roses and azaleas.
Somewhere along the way, Ronda became known as "the Eagles' Nest". There was deliberate irony in the name. On the one hand a simple, mildly poetic reference to its perch high in the mountains above its famous gorge; on the other an ironic reference to its inhabitants' reputation for canny ferocity.
Ronda has no shortage when it comes to finding a place to eat. There are restaurants and tapas bars located all around the town, some with terraces that provide an idyllic place to sit and enjoy your meal whilst looking over the famous gorge. Prices can be extautionate in central locations, so don´t be fooled.

Nerja is a seaside town on the eastern part of the Costa del Sol, the stretch between Malaga and Granada province's Costa Tropical. This part of the coast is less developed than the Marbella area, and Nerja itself is still relatively unspoiled. It has a famous viewing platform, the tree-lined Balcon de Europa, looking out over the Mediterranean, and some renowned fiestas.
On the evening of the 5th of January there is a procession (Cabalgata), when the Three Kings parade through the streets on colourful floats. Sweets are thrown to the many children lining the streets. The 6th of January is traditionally the day that children are given their Christmas presents in Spain and so this is a big day for them and the whole family.
The Church of the Immaculate Conception, This pretty village church was build in between the mid 16th and early 17th Century on the ruins of an ancient Moorish castle, using one of the towers as the church bell tower. In the early 1990's some restoration work uncovered frescos dating from1632 depicting the Apostles.
