The English golfer Cara Gainer leads the standings with 66 strokes, seven under par, in the first day of the Andalucía Costa del Sol Open de España 2022.
The Andalucía Costa del Sol Open de España, the most important women's professional tournament held in Spain on a regular basis, has created the Celia Barquín Award to reward each year the best amateur player who participates in this prestigious competition, which in 2022 will be held at the Alferini Golf near Villa Padierna. near Estepona between 24 and 27 November.

Adrián Otaegui (-16) was the star of the third day of the Andalucía Masters. The player from San Sebastian signed a card of 64 strokes (-7), which overall after three days is 16 under par. This is a six shot lead over Angel Hidalgo and the Swedish Joakim Lagergren on ten under par.

However a double bogey on the seventh knocked him back but steady play and three more birdies meant he finished the first day at five under par along with four other golfers.
Matt Fitzpatrick, returned to Valderrama to defend his title won last year in the Andalucia Masters 2021.
