Real de La Quinta is a large residential development just north of Marbella (within the Benahavís municipal district). It is being developed by the ‘La Quinta’ group east of their flagship resort, ‘La Quinta Golf’.

The Guadalmina River begins near Igualeja, in the Sierra Bermeja of the Serrania de Ronda and flows into the sea 28km later at Guadalmina Beach in San Pedro de Alcántara, Marbella, Malaga. Situated between El Paraíso, Monte Mayor and the Marbella Club Resort, Los Flamingos takes its name from the Los Famencos lake around which Chamberlain & Turner have laid out their 18-hole design. A second Four Seasons Resort is planned to provide accommodation for visiting golfers.

The course was designed by Californian Bradford Benz, and the club remains strictly private for members and their guests.

Los Arqueros Golf is an exciting course winding through two valleys that offer impressive views down to the coast. The challenging par 71 golf course was designed by Seve Ballesteros and opened in 1991. The golf the course appeals to attacking players prepared to make bold shots. It is not a particularly long course, but sometimes tight with hazards constantly in play, which may lead to the unaccustomed player being overcautious.
