Estepona Summer Feria 2022
Estepona Summer Feria takes place the first week in July from Tuesday to Sunday and gives everyone a week to enjoy dancing, drinking and eating. Both the day fair and the night fair take place at the 'Parque Ferial y Deportivo' located at the top of Avenida Juan Carlos I next to the A-7 coast road that by-passes Estepona.
2022 Feria Highlights
Taking to the stage of the Caseta Municipal in 2022 was one of the leading exponents of the new wave of genre fusion artists, Daviles de Novelda (Thursday 7 July); the grandson of the flamenco singer Enrique Montoya, Juanlu Montoya (Wednesday 6 July) and the flamenco fusion singer La Flaka (Sunday 10 July).
There were also be performances by local artists and dance troupes, as well as popular dance bands with singes; Top Secret, Dynamic and Metropolis.
The festivities began with the ‘pregón’ - reading of the opening speech by a famous personality. In 2022 this is by famous flamenco singer José Mercé. This pregón took place at 21:00 hrs in the gardens of the Orchid House and also featured performances by the young contemporary dancer from Estepona, Paula Infantes and flamenco artists Eduardo López and Sandra Cisneros.
On Tuesday 5th at 23:00 hours the official inauguration of the Real de la Feria by the local authorities is marked by the turning on of the lights on the feria entrance arch. This act is accompanied by the Municipal Band of Estepona and a firework display.
On Thursday, 7 July, the Festival for the Elderly took place in the Caseta Municipal. In 2022 the day is dedicated to the Manila shawl and entertainment provided by the sevillanas singer Manuel Orta.
In 2022 the free concerts were held in the Caseta Municipal include performances of 'Los del Río' on Friday 8 July, and one of the outstanding voices of Spanish pop, Marta Sánchez will perform on Saturday 9th .
On Saturday 9th July 2022, the the Paseo de Caballos (Riding School area) of the fairgrounds hosted the 5th Doma Vaquera and High School Amateur Dressage Competition. The 5th Andalusian Harnessing Competition on Sunday 10th July took place in the Paseo de Caballos of the fairgrounds and will award prizes to the best dressed horses and riders.
On the final day, Sunday 10th July the traditional fair bullfight took place in the Bullring. It is one of the only bullfights to take place in the year in Estepona. 2022 celebrated the 50th Anniversary of the Estepona Bullring which was opened in 1972. Six bulls from the Juan Pedro Domecq ranch were fought by bullfighter Morante de la Puebla, José Mari Manzanares and Roca Rey.

Tuesday, 5th July
- 20:00 hours: A parade of GIANTS AND BULLFIGHTERS through the town centre will herald the start of the Estepona Fair and Fiestas Mayores, starting at the Victor de Serna School.
- 21:00: Reading of the ‘pregón’ - (opening speech), by JOSÉ MERCÉ, in the Botanical Orchid Gardens. Contemporary dance performance with PAULA INFANTES, finalist of the "Tierra de Talento" competition and FLAMENCO SHOW with Eduardo López on vocals, Sandra Cisneros on dance and Francisco Martín on guitar. FIREWORKS SHOW.
- 23:00 hours: INAUGURATION and LIGHTING OF THE LIGHTING of the Real de la Feria by the authorities, accompanied by the Municipal Band of Estepona.
- 00:00 hours: Performance by the TOP SECRET Orchestra.
Wednesday, 6th July
- 15:00 hours: Fried Egg Day (free with a drink).
- 15:00 hours: Performance by EL FLORE and EL CHINO in the Caseta Municipal.
- 19:00 hours: CHILDREN'S PARTY with the SUPER SHOW OF THE PUNKILOKIS, in the Caseta Municipal.
- 21:00 hours: Performance by the Classical-Spanish and Flamenco Dance Group of the Culture Delegation, directed by EVA ALARCÓN, in the Municipal Stall.
- 22:00 hours: Performance by the Modern and Acrobatic Dance Group of LAURA and SARA PEREA, in the Caseta Municipal.
- 23:00 hours: Performance by the DYNAMIC Orchestra in the Caseta Municipal.
- 00:00 hours: Performance by JUANLU MONTOYA in the Municipal Stand.
- 01:30 hours: Performance by the DYNAMIC Orchestra in the Caseta Municipal.
NOTE: This day is dedicated to children, and the attractions have a 50% discount.
Thursday, 7th July
- 13 to 18:00 hours: Free ride to the Fairgrounds on the "Tourist Train", stopping at Avda. Juan Carlos I, in front of the new Town Hall.
- 15:00 hours: Performance by the AIRE NUESTRO Group in the Municipal Stand.
- 17:00 to 20:00: "Free horse-drawn carriage ride", stopping at the Caseta El Búcaro.
- 19:00 hours: PARTY FOR THE ELDERLY dedicated to the Manila Shawl, in the Caseta Municipal, enlivened by the performance of the dance group of the Centro de Participación Activa de Personsas Mayores, directed by Mónica Peña. A traditional snack will be offered, with the collaboration of the Obrador-Pastelería LOS REMEDIOS. Those attending with a shawl will be given a fan as a gift.
- 19:30 hours: Performance by MANUEL ORTA in the Caseta Municipal.
- 21:00 hours: Performance by the Spanish Dance and Flamenco Group of the Cultural Delegation, directed by LOURDES BARRIENTOS, and the Classical Dance and Flamenco Group of LOURDES BAZÁN, in the Caseta Municipal.
- 22:00 hours: Performance by the Ballroom, Cabaret and Oriental Dance Group of the Culture Delegation, directed by MARIVÍ RODRÍGUEZ, and the Modern, Contemporary and Flamenco Dance Group, with Claudia Ramírez "LA MARIVILLA", in the Caseta Municipal.
- 23:00 hours: Performance by the DYNAMIC Orchestra in the Caseta Municipal.
- 00:00 hours: Performance by DAVILES DE NOVELDA in the Caseta Municipal.

NOTE: The attractions area will remain without music from 18:00 to 21:00 hours, to facilitate the festivities for people with extreme sensitivity to loud sounds.

- 13:00 to 20:00 hours: "Paseo de Caballos" (Horse Ride) at the Fair Grounds.
- 13:00 hours: 5th "ENJAEZADO A LA ANDALUZA" COMPETITION in the "Paseo de Caballos". There will be prizes of 150 € and trophy, 100 € and trophy and 50 € and trophy for the three best dressed horses and riders in each category: Young Rider, Veteran Rider, Couple, Amazon and Rider (Prize-giving at 17:00 hours). In collaboration with the Friends of the Horse Association of Estepona.
- 15:00 hours: PAELLA Day (free with a drink).
- 15:00 hours: Performance by the group "SOND'AIRE" in the Caseta Municipal.
- 17:00 to 20:00 hours: "Free horse-drawn carriage ride", stopping at the Caseta El Búcaro.
- 18:00 to 20:00: Performance by the METRÓPOLIS Orchestra and HORA FELIZ in the Caseta Municipal, with reduced-price drinks.

- 21:00: Performance by the "=ES" Workshop Group of Danzaterapia Estepona of the Social Affairs Department, directed by INMACULADA CHACÓN, in the Caseta Municipal.

- 23:30 hours: Performance by the DYNAMIC Orchestra in the Caseta Municipal.
Getting to Feria
As in previous years there is a special local bus service from the town centre to the Parque Ferial.
From Thursday 7th to Sunday 10th July, free rides will be offered to the Feria ground on the 'Tourist Train' which will depart from Avenida Juan Carlos I, bus stop oposite the new Town Hall, will run from 13.00 to 18.00 hours.
Taxis are permitted to drop off and pick up clients close to the ‘portada’ entrance to the feria.
There is a festival car park located 10mins walk away.
