Virgen del Carmen in Fuengirola
La Feria del Carmen de Los Boliches in one of the more important annual festivals in Fuengirola. A mass in honour of the Virgen del Carmen is celebrated at 12:00 noon in the Parroquia del Carmen de Los Boliches. After the mass, there is a blessing of a wreath in homage to the sailors who were lost at sea takes place.
At 20:45, the procession of the Patron Saint of Los Boliches departs from the Church of Carmen and Santa Fe. It goes down on to a beach and is carried into the sea and blesses the waters.
The festival is completed with a fireworks display from the harbour breakwater.
