Nueva Andalucia Artisan Market

One of the largest flea markets on the Costa del Sol takes place every Saturday morning, with over 120 stalls. It is situated next to the bullring of Puerto Banus is a great rambling flea market, a mini "Rastro" where you can find everything from a wooden elephant to a woolly jumper.

Palacio de los Condes de Guadiana

The Palace of the Counts of Guadiana was built in the last years of the sixteenth century, and is organized around a small central courtyard. On the outside, its façade is decorated with balconies crowned by Mannerist style split pediments.

Santuario Cristo Del Paño

This is the former parish church of Santa María de la Encarnación, which was founded by the Catholic Monarchs. After being damaged during the Spanish Civil War (1936–1939), it was restored in the twentieth century and used as a church, service chapel and sacristy. The main chapel, designed by Martín Bolívar, was built in the mid-sixteenth century, and the rest of the nave was added later.

Manuel Benitez "El Cordobes" bullfighter

El Cordobes is currently one of the most popular Matadors on the circuit currently. He claims to be illegitimate son of the great "El Cordobes" matador of recent history. El Cordobes (jr) is also a good showman and loves to play to the audience.

Torre del Pozico

Los Caganchos

The Caganchos were three gypsy blacksmiths who were born in Triana, Seville, during the nineteenth century. These brothers are remembered for their antiquated style of singing, especially with the primitive forms of flamenco like the martinetes and siguiriyas.

Adra - History

Adra was founded by the Phoenicians during the eighth century BC, however, according to archaeological remains found on the Montecristo hill, a site classified as being of important cultural significance, the area has a Punic past. Punic control of the colony is thought to have been established from the fourth century BC, and at the end of the second century BC it passed to the control of the Roman Empire in the province of Hispania Ulterior. Evidence suggests that the Roman presence in Adra persisted for three centuries.

Acueducto del Águila

Acueducto del Águila (Eagle Aqueduct), also known as Puente del Águila (Eagle Bridge), is regarded across the region as "an historic jewel of Spanish architecture". It was built in the 19th century and has been used continuously since - today the local community uses it to irrigate farmland.

Tio Luis El de Juliana

Luis Montoya Garcés, or Tio Luis el de Juliana, as he was artistically known, was a gypsy water carrier who was born in Jerez de la Frontera in 1760, and he is the first recorded singer in the poorly documented history of the flamenco song.
