Archaeological remains found in Arboleas suggest population settlements dating back to the Neololithic and Bronze ages. Gymnasiums

Learning to Drive

I am the proud holder of a Spanish driver’s license. You cannot imagine how proud. I can't tell how much it cost me – I went into denial once I hit four figures (in pounds). Learning to drive is a wallet-wincing business anywhere, but in Spain even for souls less automobilistically-challenged than myself, it costs a veritable ojo de la cara (lit. an eye off your face). To add humiliation to insolvency, once you have jumped through all hoops, practical, theoretical and bureaucratic, you must announce your first year as a driver with a green L-plate stuck in your rear window. Still, that's all water under the bridge now. The beep-at-me-I'm-an-idiot-sign's in the bin and I can afford to put petrol in the car.

Écija - History

The first archaeological evidence of Écija allows us to assume the original settlement of Astigi was in the present Cerro de San Gil or Alcazar, during the Tartessic era.

Villas for sale in Duquesa

Villas for sale in and around Puerto de la Duquesa, one of the Costa del Sol's marinas that is enjoyed by sailors and tourists alike. Located one hour's drive from the airport of Malaga and 45 minutes form Gibraltar airport. La Duquesa seems like a thousand miles away from the throng of the holiday resorts. It is relatively quiet during most of the year. The restaurants come alive in July and August.

Los Guájares

Los Guájares is comprised of three small villages: Guájar Faragüit, Guájar Fondón and Guájar Alto. The area is located in a small, beautiful subtropical valley, formed by the River Loba. Its name comes from the Arabic word for abrupt, steep and difficult to access, describing the mountain below where the villages are situated.
