Hotels

Lupión

Lupión occupies a plateau surrounded by olive groves. The resultant olive oil industry and cotton cultivation in the Guadalquivir Valley form the town’s two main sources of income. The great archaeological wealth of the town demonstrates its rich and varied history. It has about 830 inhabitants.

Torreblascopedro

Torreblascopedro’s Campillo del Río district produces more asparagus than any other area in the entire province of Jaén. The municipality also boasts a proud olive-growing tradition. It has about 2,400 inhabitants.

Sabiote

Sabiote has a wonderful historical and artistic heritage, which makes this municipality in Jaén a destination of special interest for seekers of cultural tourism. It has about 3,800 inhabitants.

Torreperogil

Torreperogil is a destination of special interest for those who wish to practice wine tourism in Jaén, being one of the few towns in the province that produce wines of recognised quality. It has about 7,200 inhabitants.

Rus

The economy and culture of Rus are rooted in olive growing, olive oil production and textiles. Its proximity to and good road links with Úbeda and Linares mean that trade routes are well established with these municipalities. It has about 3,500 inhabitants.

Ibros

The olive tree is the protagonist of the small town of Ibros, with olive fields occupying large extensions of land. The biodiversity and ecology of Ibros are strengthened further by numerous vegetable gardens. The town has about 2,800 inhabitants.

Montefrio - Hotels

There is only one basic hotel in the village of Montefrio itself called Hotel La Enrea. This is clearly the most convenient to explore the village on foot. There is also a modern apart-hotel called Montefur which is equally convenient.  Cortijo la fe - spa is located a few kilometers south if the village in a beautiful rural setting. This Spa hotel is ideal for couples. South of Montefrío village on the access road to Granada. 

Montefrio - Holiday Homes

There are a number of holiday homes to rent in the village and in the surrounding countryside. These are ideal for families and stays of several days or a week. There are also luxury villas with pools to rent in the surrounding countryside.

Cave Hotels

Cave hotels are found in Guadix where many of the inhabitants live underground, in cave houses. In the winter they are covered with snow and keep their warmth, providing delightful places to stay, often with their own fireplaces inside. In the summer, they keep cool and can provide great relief from the sun.

Granada Province

Granada province is characterised by extreme variables in landscape and climate, to the extent that you can even ski in the mountains in the morning, and then go diving in the sea in the afternoon. When you've explored the magnificent city of Granada, with its majestic Alhambra palace, venture further afield: visit cave dwellings in a desolate desert-like area, climb the Iberian Peninsula's highest mountains, and lose yourself in the region's rich Moorish history and fortified palaces.

Shopping in La Costa del Sol

Shopping on the Costa del Sol in one respect is similar to shopping in the rest of Andalucia. Plenty of small, often family-run, shops still pack out the streets of small towns and resorts, in addition to this there are more hyper-markets, shopping centres and specialist international shops.

Santa Elena

Santa Elena is the closest town to the famous "Gateway to Andalucia" at Despeñaperros Pass. It is also the most northerly village in Jaen province (and Andalucia) when leaving or arriving in the region on the A4 Madrid motorway.

La Carolina

La Carolina is a small town of 16.000 inhabitants is located in the north of Jaen province adjacent to the A-4 Seville to Madrid motorway. It is the last town of any size to stop if heading out of Andalucia through the Despeñaperros gorge into Castilla La Mancha.

Jabalquinto

The village of Jabalquinto has been occupied since the Copper Age or Bronze Age and in the Roman era was thought to be the scene of a Battle Baecula in 208BC as part of the Second Punic War between Rome and carthage.

Linares

Linares, land of bullfighters and musicians, offers visitors an interesting historical and artistic heritage. An important town in the north of Jaen with a population of 65.000. Linares was heavily involved in the mining and smelting of lead and the production of gunpowder.
