Camping

In addition to the abundance of hotels, high-rise apartment blocks, hostels and guest houses dotted around Torremolinos, there is also the possibility of camping. Jerez Motor Racing Circuit

The Jerez race circuit opened on 8 December 1985 with the Touring Car Spanish Championships, marking a truly momentous event. Today the course boasts many state-of-the-art facilities and hosts the Spanish Moto GP every year; usually last weekend in April or first in May.

Festivals in Sanlúcar de Barrameda

Sanlúcar is also noted for its horse racing which dates back to 1845 and takes place along a 2,000 stretch of beach at the mouth of the Río Guadalquivir during the month of August, daily from 6.00 pm, on the 2nd and 4th weekends of the month (Thursday to Saturday). This is a thrilling spectacle where real racehorses thunder across the sand watched by a large noisy crowd of spectators.

Sanlúcar de Barrameda - Rentals

Located right next to the Doñana National Park, Sanlúcar gets visitors all year round, but especially during the summer season. Sanlucar is divided into the older quarter, the Barrio Alto where most of the interesting sights can be seen, and the newer Barrio Bajo, closer to the river.

English Language Radio

There are many English language radio stations in Andalucia, especially along the Costa del Sol and some inland areas where many English speaking residents have settled over the last few decades. A few of the pioneering English language stations are still going strong after and have long-term.

Jardin de Las Aguilas Benalmadena

In this fabulous zoological garden overlooking the Mediterranean at 250m above sea level, you can see the majestic raptors spread their wings in flight under the supervision of multi-lingual expert handlers. There are displays throughout the day, giving each of the 160+ birds a turn.

La Venus beach Marbella

La Venus beach, named after the bronze statue placed there in 1972, is also known as Playa el Fuerte named after the Fuerte (Castle) and later the Fuerte Hotel opened in 1956.

El Faro

Playa el Faro is situated just to the west of Marbella Port and enclised by the breakwater. It is a very small stretch of beach only 200m X 30m and is very sheltered. This is a very busy beach because of it´s convenient location in the centre of Marbella, close to a number of hotels and not far from the Old Town.

San Pablo de Buceite

This lovely Andalusian village is located in Cádiz province in the area known as the “Campo de Gibraltar”. It is in the northwestern part of the Jimena de Libar municipality and claims to have more hours of sunshine than any other town in the province of Cádiz: 2,600 hours per year. Combine this with the ideal mix of subtropical and Mediterranean seaboard climate and you have a perfect place to visit or live.

Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park Hotels

The Sierra de Grazalema natural park is a place of extreme natural beauty, famous for the flora and fauna that is found here and the rolling hills through which you can hike, climb or cycle. Ideally located next to the towns of Ronda and Ubrique, the park is easy to access and has good roads running through it.

Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park - Walks

Grazalema is one of the most popular places in Andalucia for walkers. It has over 30 signposted routes, but many walks in the park have restricted access to protect nesting birds and prevent fires in summer. Contact the park office in El Bosque or in Grazalema for more information.

Starlite Festival 2020

The Starlite Festival is a month-long music and cultural event held in July / August at the Cantera de Nagüeles, in Marbella. It is now established as one of the important annual social and entertainment events in Spain. The stage is surrounded by 60 metre-high rock walls, which creates an interesting, intimate atmosphere, like a secret, hidden venue beneath the stars for the 2,200 guests.
