Museo de la Crofradía de Estudiantes

Located in the heart of the historical artistic district of Málaga, this religious museum showcases the thrones and other processional accessories, such as crucifixes, of the Cofradía de Estudiantes (Brotherhood of Students). There is also a room for religious teachings.

Cueva del Tajo de las Figuras

The cave was ‘discovered' on 17th April 1913 by Juan Cabré and Eduardo Hernández-Pacheco, they reported in detail on a large number of cave paintings, mainly representations of birds, quadrupeds and anthropomorphs.

History of Durcal

According to archaeological remains found, human settlement in Dúrcal dates back to 4000 or 4500 BC. These remains include a Neolithic clay and mud vase with incised decoration, some polished stone axes and a flint knife. Although the town originated in the Moorish era, remains of a Roman settlement have also been found.

Exe Estepona Thalasso & Spa- Adults Only is on the Costa del Sol's Golden Mile, between Marbella and Estepona. The hotel with its sumptuous Thalasso Wellness Centre was opened at the beginning of 2006. The Thalassotherapy Centre, covering an incredible 2,000 square metres area, is the largest of its kind in Andalusia.

This involves making an appointment - which hopefully you can do by ringing the public helpline and then bringing the baby to your local health centre for this test which is designed to detect possible metabolic problems such as hypothyroidism or phenylketonuria.

Getting to El Caminito del Rey

The official starting point of the Camino de Rey access path is on the country road MA-444 (which branches off the MA-5403 6km east of Ardales) just south where it crosses over the Conde de Guadalhorce Dam by the Sillon del Rey (King's seat) a stone seat where King Alfonso XIII signed off the dam in 1926, It is near a popular roadside restaurant called "El Kiosko".

History

The first records of Albondón date back to the Andalusian period, when it flourished due to its dry climate, which made it possible to exploit its lands. The area covered by the municipality contains vestiges of Cave Culture, including important archaeological sites such as the Cueva de las Campanas and the Sima de Los Intentos. In addition to interesting karstic relief, numerous Neolithic artefacts were found here, which are now on display at the Archaeological and Ethnological Museum of Granada.

Cuevas de Nerja

Las Cuevas de Nerja (the Caves of Nerja) are a series of naturally formed caves and caverns in the hills of Maro, 4km North-East of Nerja, some of which have taken up to two million years to form. The caves contain the widest naturally-formed column in the world, at 32m high and 13x7m at its base. Formed by the merging of a stalagmite and stalactite, it has held the Guinness World Record since 1989. The caves also famously host the annual Nerja International Festival of Music and Dance.

Cerro Fuerte

Cerro Fuerte is an archaeological zone situated in an important rocky mass, which importantly includes a Roman settlement related to the mining exploitation of the area, and a megalithic necropolis belonging either to the Ancient Copper or Final Neolithic era.

Garfields Rock Cafe

This well-known bar is somewhat small, although it has a large terrace that is popular with locals and tourists at weekends. Famed for playing progressive rock music, this popular bar hosts karaoke nights and occasional live groups outside on the terrace. The bar serves an extensive range of lagers and ciders and they also have an impressive cocktail list.

FACUA-Consumers in Action is a non-governmental and non-profit organization. Since its foundation in 1981, it has been dedicated to the defence of consumer rights. FACUA can be considered a progressive, democratic, plural and participatory organization, independent from government, political parties, religious ideologies and business interests.

This important and solid semicircular stone wall is a reworking of a cylindrical tower of great proportions. During the Andalusian era, Cazalilla belonged to the Cora de Jaén, with the name Qastalla.
