This is considered one of the best 9-hole par-3 and 4 courses on the Costa del Sol due to its abundant, semi-tropical gardens and the landscaping that makes good use of natural contours. Designed with care by Craig Cooke and Bradley Smith, the course was opened in 2005 and has an attractive layout that weaves around lakes and ancient olive trees. The tees are kept immaculate and the slightly undulating fairways and greens are maintained to a very high standard indeed.

Hornachuelos

Hornachuelos is located on the Ruta de los Castillos, highlighted by the remains of its Arab fortress. The town is a destination that is especially appropriate for rural tourism devotees, with the Sierra de Hornachuelos Natural Park offering magnificent enclaves for game hunting, hiking, cycling or horse riding. It has about 4,500 inhabitants.

Rociana del Condado

Rociana del Condado is situated within the Comarca El Condado. Like its neighbouring villages, it thrives on agriculture, mainly strawberries, raspberries and grapes for the local wine. It has about 7600 inhabitants.

Riofrío

Just off the A92 motorway about midway between Malaga and Granada is the village of Riofrío. Within easy reach of most Andalusian destinations, as well as both Malaga and Granada airports (40 and 20 minutes drive respectively), Riofrío is a favourite place for those who like fishing and enjoying the countryside.

Golf - Club Deportivo Golf El Puerto

This modern golf course is 6,300 metres and was designed by champion golfer Manuel Pinero. It is situated at Puerto de Santa Maria in the bay of Cadiz.

The greens and fairways are wide, and gently undulating, allowing the course to be suitable for everyone. Trees have been planted to improve the appearance, and offer protection from the sun. Challenges include four lakes which occupy natural depressions and a number of streams.

Practice facilities include a driving range and pitching and putting greens.

Villaviciosa de Córdoba

The two main monuments in this village are the Ermita de la Virgen de Villaviciosa and the Iglesia de San José.

People - David Roberts


David Roberts (1796 - 1864) was a Scottish painter. He is especially known for a prolific series of detailed lithograph prints of the Near East that he produced from sketches he made during long tours of the region from 1838 to 1840.

Ermita de San Marcos

The chapel is situated next to the cemetery and on the day of its festival, roscos (rings of bread) are made and distributed among the people, and many fireworks are set off when the procession departs. The route runs from the church to the chapel. There, it circles the chapel and returns to the church again. Located on Camino de San Marcos.

Castilblanco de los Arroyos

Castilblanco de los Arroyos is home to the avant-garde building, Miguel Fisac Municipal Theatre, a structure of cubes that, as an architectural piece and a modern construction, looks beautiful. It has about 5000 inhabitants.

Chackra

According to ancient texts, the seven chakras are located in the following areas: the first is near the anus, the second is near the genitals, the third is near the navel, the fourth is in the centre of the chest, the fifth is in the throat, the sixth is in the brow or the third eye, and the seventh is at the top of the head.

Golf - Parador Malaga Golf

The Club de Campo requires strength and strategy to navigate the stands of well-established trees and natural lagoons. Although flat with wide fairways, the trees make things more difficult. The 12th hole is a good example of this lurking danger.

International Artisan Market in Puerto Banus

This open air market takes place everyday over the summer, or just on Saturdays for the rest of the year, on Plaza Antonio Banderas in Puerto Banus between the port and the Corte Ingles shopping centre. There are 25 stalls selling unique art objects, ceramics, vintage clothing & accessories, handmade jewellery, glass and fragrances.

Grand Staircase of Casa de Pilatos

The single grand staircase to the top floor Winter Palace is decorated with tiles and a cupola ceiling of Mudéjar honeycomb, made by Cristobal Sanchez and inspired by the Ambassador's Hall in the Alcazar. It was Seville's first magnificent staircase, and one of the most original in Europe at the time.
