Málaga Feria poster 2024

The poster for Malaga Fair 2024 is called Mi playa en Feria (My beach at the fair) and was designed by Eloisa Peñas Cárdenas from Jaén, who lives in Malaga. There were five finalists and the jury of experts chose Eloisa's creation. There were 105 entries from all over Spain. The finalists were chosen by a public vote on the Internet.

Marbella - Costa del Sol Hospital

The Costa del Sol Hospital on the main A-7 coast road 7km east of Marbella center, is one of the best-equipped hospitals in Spain. Inaugurated in December 1993, the hospital is run by an independent company on behalf of the (SAS) Andalucian Health Authorities intil 2023. It was set up as a pilot scheme to improve the efficiency and quality of services, under a modern structure or organisation.

May is the best month to visit Cordoba, with its riot of colourful and fragrant celebrations. The floral excitements kick off with the Battle of the Flowers parade, followed by the Cruces de Mayo - a competition of flower-decorated crosses, between city neighbourhoods, then the Patios Festival - traditional Andalucian houses whose interior courtyards are festooned with potted flowers and plants, bursting with blooms.

Torreguadiaro

The village of Torreguadiaro is one of the districts of San Roque and located on the coast just to the east of the popular resort of Sotogrande. It was formed by the construction of some houses near the defensive towers around 1900. It has benefeted from the construction of the A-7 by-pass as the main street is now relatively quiet of traffic.

Virgen del Carmen in Nerja

Every year on July 16th Virgin del Carmen Day is celebrated in Nerja in honour of the town’s maritime tradition. Whereas some towns hold a draw to choose the boat that will carry the image of the Virgen del Carmen out to sea, in Nerja the town actually has a special boat that has been designed just for Virgen del Carmen Day. The man who designed this boat was Jose Calvente, also known as Pepe el Califate

The main bus and coach station is located just to the west of the centre of town, next to the Train Station. There are also coaches from here to Costa del Sol and Andalucia.
