GKA Youth Kite World Cup Tarifa 2022

The GKA Big Air World Championships take place within the event window of 20th of June to the 6th of July on Playa Lances Sur opposite Balneario. In addition competitors and fans will be able to enjoy the Kite Expo that will be from the 21st to the 26th of June at BIBO Beach House, at Playa Valdevaqueros.

The Marbella Property Market Report 2019

Golf News

Nastasia Nadaud of France secured a four-stroke victory at the Andalucía Costa del Sol Open de España presented by Oysho, the season-ending event on the Ladies European Tour, with a score of 66 (-6).  The 21-year-old began the day in third place, five shots behind the overnight leader, Trichat Cheenglab, but found birdies early in her round at the Real Guadalhorce Club de Golf.  She made birdies on the first and third holes, followed by an eagle on the fourth, and then a further birdie on the fifth, which took her to the top of the leaderboard.

These aren't so much ways to get around, as ways to see the city, whether by horse-drawn carriage, open-top bus tour, or a boat trip on the river. A new, eco-friendly way to see the city is a Segway, a two-wheeled upright electric vehicle, with zero emissions. Especially useful in the centre, on traffic-free roads.

Falla de Nigüelas Natural Monument

South of Granda, on the western edge of the Sierra Nevada National Park, is the Falla de Nigüelas. Here, it's possible to see how a fault line (falla) caused a massive landslide during the Quarternary period. The Falla itself covers 7.6ha.

Hacienda del Mar (Formerly Kempinski Hotel Bahia)

The Kempinski Hotel Bahia is on the Mediterranean coast just east of Estepona and is surrounded by luxurious sub tropical gardens, complete with three lagoon type swimming pools, one of which is heated. The Kempinski Spa specializes in body and facial treatments, including various types of massage such as hot candle, (either indoors, or outdoors in the garden), physiotherapy and osteopathy, slimming, anti-stress and hydrotherapy.

BiBo Beach House Restaurant

This contemporary restaurant at Valdevaqueros beach by three-Michelin-starred chef Dani Garcia, who is based in Marbella, opened on eve of San Juan; 23rd  June 2019. The relaxed dining room has upbeat and chill/out music, while attentive waiting staff are dressed in Hawaiian-style beach shirts featuring red and pink hibiscus, palm leaves and frangipani.

Paseo de Cristobal Colon

Back in Columbus' time the river here would be crowded with boats, nowadays the occasional tourist steamer chugs by or pedal boat. But it is still the most charming paseo which during the weekends is thronging with strolling lovers and Spanish families dressed in their Sunday best. The view across the river is quite beautiful with a row of typical Andaluz houses with wrought iron balconies.

Sierra Crestellina Natural Area

The small protected area of the Sierra Crestellina, of 478ha, is a limestone ridge rising to 926m at its highest point. It stretches for 4km north-south, immediately north of the village of Casares.

Bullfighting

Bullfighting as we know it today, started in the village squares, and became formalised, with the building of the bullring in Ronda in the late 18th century. From that time, it began to follow a particular sequence of events: the entrance of the bull, the picador, the banderilleros, and finally the matador (bullfighter). Many of the picadors' horses were injured in the early days, so these heavy horses now wear protection.
