Exposición Permanente de Fotografía: La Alpujarra de Rafael Vilchez
The first museum of its kind in La Alpujarra which was inaugurated on 19thAugust 2000. Inside, you can see photographs of both Granada and Almería towns, many of which reflect the customs of the Alpujarra during a good part of the twentieth century. It shows images of the most well-known journalist and photojournalist in La Alpujarra in recent years, Rafael Vilchez, who has lived in the area for decades. His black and white and colour photos reflect the architecture, folklore, gastronomy and culture, as well as different characters from the different towns that make up the Alpujarra region. Located on the ground floor of the Town Hall.
