Exposición Permanente de Fotografía: La Alpujarra de Rafael Vilchez
This is the first museum of its kind in La Alpujarra, inaugurated on 19 August 2000. Inside, there are photographs of Granada and Almería, many of which reflect the customs of La Alpujarra during the twentieth century. The museum displays images by Rafael Vilchez, one of the most well-known journalists and photojournalists in La Alpujarra in recent years, who has lived in the area for decades. His black-and-white and colour photos reflect the region's architecture, folklore, gastronomy, culture and characters. The museum is located on the ground floor of the Town Hall.
