Museo Fotográfico
This small museum houses a large collection of photographs of the town and its people. Thanks to the voluntary work of Mr Van Hansen, who visited the town of Yegen year after year until he became much more than a visitor, we can contemplate the living history from the years 1959 to 1989. Originally from Denmark, he made La Alpujarra, and this town in particular, his second home. In fact, he requested that his ashes be buried in the town's cemetery. The whole town of Yegen accompanied Joan 'el Dinamarca' on his final journey, and his friends from the string group played his three favourite pieces at his funeral in his memory. The museum is located in Plaza de la Constitución.
