Ermita del Santo Cristo de las Tres Marías
The Hermitage of the Holy Christ of the Three Marys is a small chapel dedicated to Zafarraya's patron, the Señor de las Tres Marías. The chapel has a simple arched entrance flanked by small windows and is topped by a traditional single tier espadaña (bell gable) containing one bell. Two niches on the interior walls house images of San José and Santa Teresa.
A single nave leads to a modest altar shrine containing the chapel's focal point: a small glass plate bearing a painted image of Christ's face. The image is the focus of local devotion and plays a central role in Zafarraya's Día de la Cruz celebrations, held from 1 to 3 May. During the festivities, locals carry the image in a traditional procession between the hermitage and the parish church.
