The Cathedral Museum is situated in the old Casa de la Contaduría (Patio de los Condes), located on the cavea of the ancient Roman Amphitheater in Cádiz. In reality it is a group of buildings around the tower of the Old Cathedral of Santa Cruz, which in addition to the House of the Contaduría also includes the House of the Canonical Termineli and the Patio Mudéjar and House of the Dean.
The Museum is a space whose main objective is to exhibit, document and preserve the memory of the activity of puppeteers, companies, artisans and creators, both Spanish and from the rest of the world.
The Lithographic Museum has its origin in the old German Lithography of Cádiz, installed in 1861 and which functioned as a printing press until the end of the twentieth century. It is one of the few museums of this type in Spain, as well as being the most complete. Cádiz was the third Spanish city, after Madrid and Barcelona, to have a lithographic laboratory.
There is a municipal micro bus service between the centre of Frigilia and Nerja. with about nine services a day Monday to Saturday and seven on Sunday and holidays.

One place that is most definitely open to the public is Pizarra's Municipal Museum. The village owes this jewel in its crown to the American painter Gino Hollander, who spent many years in the town. Beginning in the 1960s he amassed an impressive array of archæological artefacts from many eras, including the Roman and the Moorish. When he eventually left Spain to return to America, his collection came into the hands of the local authorities, who took over a disused farm complex and turned it into the museum.
The Archaeological Museum of Frigliana is closed (July 2021) while works are underway to move it into a new building.
The building that houses the museum is a olive oil mill of typical construction from the 18th century. The buildign is a large construction of masonry with window and door openings framed in brickwork. The building has a L-shaped plan.
The Museo Conventual de las Descalzas is a religious art museum located in the centre of Antequera. It is part of the San José Convent and is managed by cloistered nuns of the Discalced Carmelite order.
Located in the old Town Hall and inaugurated in 1995, the museum recreates the old Mijas. Tools for farming, fishing, olive oil pressing, winemaking can be viewed. Traveling art collections and local crafts are also on display.In the museum you will also find a replica of the bedroom where Manuel Cortés Quero, El Topo de Mijas, was in hiding for 30 years.
The museum is located inside the Castillo de la Duquesa fort which was built by Cavalry Comander Francisco Paulino from Seville in 1767. It was built over the remains of a Roman Villa complex ( including a Spa, facilities for fish salting and a necropolis, and much of the fort's material originate form this sourse. The villa complex extends to to the land to the north of the fort.
A small but interesting local museum in Teba. Different rooms are dedicated to Prehistory, Protohistory, Old History, Medieval History, Modern and Contemporary. There a fine examples of Roman artefacts.
Casa Palacio Museo Lara in Ronda was created thanks to the private liftime collection of Juan Antonio Lara Jurado.

The museum is which opened in 2021 dedicated to dedicated to the artist Joaquín Peinado (Ronda 1898 - Paris 1975. It is dedicated to his memory and his work work. The museum is located in the restoration of the noble Moctezuma Palace in Ronda.

From the Medieval Period, a distinction is made between the Arab civilization (Almohad invasion) and the Christian period following the reconquest. From the Modern Era doors, keys, chests, safes, portraits are on display.
