Concert Music Festival is a large forty plus night concert series from 12 July to 14th August which takes place in the Sancti Petri resort in the municipal district Chiclana on the Costa de la Luz.
The fifth edition of the El Argar Classical Music Festival takes place on Friday 29th August in Totana, Murcia, and on Saturday 30th August in the village of Antas in the province of Almería. Under the artistic direction of Swiss-Cuban mezzo-soprano Ana Häsler, the festival offers a unique cultural experience and includes a visit to the El Argar archaeological site in Antas, Almería — the cradle of one of Europe's oldest civilisations, the Bronze Age Argaric culture.
Marenostrum Fuengirola celebrates its eleventh edition in 2026. Dates thus far announced run from 24th April to 12th September 2026. Marenostrum is one of the larger series of outdoor concerts events on the Costa del Sol. Supported and promoted by Fuengirola Town Hall, it presents a series of about 36 concerts that includes classical, rock, flamenco, rap, indie and pop music.
The XV edition of the festival will take place as always in the Cantera de Nagüeles in Marbella, with 49 nights of concerts taking place between 19 June and 29 August 2026.
Every year the beaches of Sanlucar de Barrameda in the province of Cádiz come alive with the pounding of hooves as the famous horse races take over the coast. Traditionally, the races take place the second and fourth weeks of August from Friday to Sunday. The schedule also depends on the tide times so they might come foward a week.
The annual Malaga city fair from Sat 15th to Sat 22nd Aug 2026 is an exuberant week-long street party with plenty of flamenco and 'fino' (sherry). The fair commemorates the re-conquest of the city by Isabella and Ferdinand in 1487 and traditionally runs for a week from Saturday to Sunday (inclusive) over the third week in August.
