Hotels

Located just off the main coast road between Almeria and Malaga where the N325 turns inland for Granada, Motril is the largest town on the Costa Tropical with over 50,000 residents. Almerimar is a purpose-built modern resort town situated 40km west of Almeria city. It serves as a spectacular family holiday resort, boasting 13km of beautiful, sandy beaches with crystal blue waters. The town has no shortage of services and ammenities, including restaurants, shopping centres, bars and hotels, to meet the needs of the waves of tourists that flood the area during the summer period.

Sara Baras

Sara Pereyra Baras was born in Cadiz in 1971 and from an early age received dance instruction from her mother. She had her first dance lessons at La Tertulia Flamenca de la Isla, in San Fernando, an academy that was run by her mother Concha Vargas and after this she joined Los Niños de la Tertulia Flamenco, where she served her apprenticeship as a flamenco dancer.

Restaurants in Jaén

Jaen has a good selection of restaurants, the vast majority of which serve traditional Spanish and Mediterranean food. Fish and seafood are a popular choice in Jaen, trout being the star player, so expect to find prawn and shellfish dishes, as well as meat.

History of Mojácar

Mojácar has a long, complex history that stretches over 4,000 years. Populated by Phoenicians, Carthaginians, Romans, Greeks, and Moors, it remains an intersection of many cultures. It was under Moorish rule that Mojácar really began to flourish. The castle was built and the town walls were expanded and fortified.

Podemos (which translate as ‘We Can') is the left-wing political party which was founded in 2014 by Pablo Iglesias, formerly a lecturer of political science at the Computense University of Madrid and currently a MEP. Podemos originated out of the 2011 and 2012 Spanish protest movement against inequality and corruption called ‘Indignados'.

Atarfe

Atarfe is surrounded by mountains and agricultural land. The village has a rich cultural heritage dating back to the Neolithic era. It is a well-known village in the province of Granada, with origins dating back to the 10th century BC — making it the earliest known settlement in the area. It has a population of around 15,400.
