Flying Drones

Sierra de Castril Natural Park

Designated a natural park in 1989, this rugged and spectacular limestone mountainous region in the north of Granada province, adjacent to the Sierras de Cazorla, Segura y Las Villas Natural Park and part of the Sierras Bética, is exceptional for its geological features, with a dramatically eroded landscape of gorges, vertical cliffs, waterfalls and, below ground, numerous caves.

Shopping in Seville

The main shopping area is the square between Plazas Nueva, Magdalena, Encarnacion and San Francisco, with Calle Sierpes at its heart. For more touristy gear (flamenco aprons, T-shirts, bullfighting souvenirs) Barrio Santa Cruz has a wealth of places; for more individual shops, Barrio San Vincente and the Alameda; while for ceramics, Triana is where the beautiful azulejos (ceramic tiles) which adorn many Sevillano bars, hotels, churches and private houses are made.

Alcantilados de Maro-Cerro Gordo Natural Area

This is a unique stretch of near-virgin coastline in Malaga, which runs for 12km east of Nerja to La Herradura in Granada province and covers an area of 1,815ha, including a protected part offshore. Its dramatic rocky steep cliffs (acantilados) plunge down to the sea, leaving a few sheltered bays with beaches inbetween, which can be accessed via staircases or tracks.

Centro Comercial Paniagua, Sotogrande

The Centro Comercial Paniagua is located next to the original Cortijo Paniagua. McMicking purchased the Cortijo in 1964, using it as the centre of operations for the construction of the Sotogrande Estate.

Hotel Puente Romano Fitness Club

A beautiful setting for a gym in a light and open room, but with limited equipment compared to some of the larger gyms in the area. The Fitness Club is secondary to the 10 tennis and 4 paddle tennis courts, but still offers aerobics classes by qualified professionals. With membership comes use of the sauna and Turkish baths, and the opening hours are excellent at seven days a week.

Things to see in Úbeda

Ubeda has 48 notable monuments, and more than a hundred other buildings of interest, almost all of them in the Renaissance style, and in perfect balance with Arabic, Gothic or Baroque volumes. .

Pablo Picasso

Pablo Picasso Picasso was born in 1881 in a house (now a "Casa Natal museum) in Plaza de la Merced in Málaga, the first child of Don José Ruiz y Blasco (1838-1913) and María Picasso y López. He was baptised Pablo Diego José Francisco de Paula Juan Nepomuceno María de los Remedios Cipriano de la Santísima Trinidad Ruiz y Picasso in the Santiago Apostal parish church.

This private residential development is part of Conil, and its beach can only be easily accessed by those staying in the urbanisation due to parking. Facilities include tennis, paddle and volleyball courts, swimming pools, restaurants, gardens and children's play areas.

Hotel Monte Puertatierra

Located in the new part of the city, this hotel in a classic-modern style is a short walk from the old town. It is very near Santa Maria del Mar beach, and you can find many shops close by. Spacious rooms are simply but stylishly furnished, with wood floors, and tea and coffee-making facilities, plus a flat-screen TV with satellite channels and choice of pillows. Note that rooms at the back of the hotel are quieter, although with no view; second-floor rooms have been refurbished.

Huesa

Huesa, a town of approximately 2,500 inhabitants, is situated amidst olive groves in an area known for cultivating olive trees. The area produces the ‘Sierra de Cazorla’ extra virgin olive oil.
