Hinojosa del Duque

Hinojosa del Duque is home to many monuments of historical and artistic interest, and for this reason it is considered one of the most important sites in northern Córdoba. It has about 6,900 inhabitants.

Paterna del Campo

Public Health System

In Andalucia the acronym SAS is more likely to conjure up images of healthcare than air travel. It stands for Servicio Andaluz de Salud, or Andalucian Health Service and is run by the regional government.

History of Vélez Rubio

The town’s current location dates from the late fifteenth century and is due to the abandonment of the old city located on a hill to the south called Castellón. Although no specific Upper Paleolithic sites have been found, the settlement of this area has been known since this time. From the Neolithic period there is the Cerro de Los López site, with the existence of cabins, pottery and tools.

Costa Ballena Club de Golf, Chipiona

Costa Ballena is a relatively unknown golf complex situated between the towns of Sanlucar and Puerto de Santa Maria, tucked away by the beach and so easily accessed from Jerez de la Frontera and Cadiz. It has 27 holes of golf laid out in three nines with each nine quite different and distinctive. In addition, there is a nine-hole par-3 practice course, a massive practice driving range (over 300 yards wide that can accommodate 120 people at once) plus other areas for chipping and putting practice.

Villaralto

Villaralto is home to the Museo Pastor, located in an old village house, a must-see for those visiting the town- which has about 1,100 inhabitants.

Fuente alta

Situated in the Sierra de La Peza, this natural spring is one of the highest and can be reached by taking the path from Puerto de los Blancares through Mirador de las Peñas de la Mula. In the past, shepherds would gather here to water their flocks before setting off to spend the night in the nearby hills.

Aznalcóllar

Aznalcóllar was previously known as 'Iptucci' by the Romans, who used this area extensively for mining pyrite. It has about 6,100 inhabitants.

Golden Room of Casa de Pilatos

The Gold Room, although small, is one of the most extravagant with its gold-leaf coffered ceiling. Looking onto the Small Garden, this room's decoration is Mudejar, plus sculptures and busts collected by his nephew Per Afan.

Canal de los Franceses

The canal is a hydraulic infrastructure that currently supplies Granada with water from the Quéntar reservoir on the Aguas Blancas River.
