Estepona eastern districts

Most districts outlined below are located on one sitde or another of the coast road. These are usually refered to as Mountain side or Alta (high) or Sea side or Baja (low).

Coastal Path / Senda Litoral
The Senda Litoral (Coastal Path), when complete will enable visitors to walk along the entire Costa del Sol coastline from Nerja to near Sotogrande. From Padrón one can walk or cycle. into Estepona town, crossing over the wooden bridge, Puente Río Padrón. . The path is very popular with locals and visitors; many use it as a hiking, running or cycling trail. Senda Litoral.

Bus service to Estepona eastern districts
L-79 is a half hour frequency stopping bus from Estepona - Avenida Juan Carlos (just west of old town centre) to Marbella Bus station taking 1 hr 15 minutes. It travels along Avenida Andalucia - old town ring road stopping at El Calvario Park then joins Avenida Literal (old N-340 coast road) stopping outside Carafour and then opposite Macdonalds before joining A-7 coast road to San Pedro, Puerto Banus, Marbella town centre, La Cañada shopping centre and terminates at Marbella bus station. First bus departs at 06.15 and last at 23.30. A full list stops and intermediate times can be seen on our Estepona to Marbella L-79 page. Since March 2022 this bus no longer drives along Avenida España terminating at the Marina.
There are public bus services passing Estepona eastern districts: L-79 Estepona town to and from Marbella and the E-3 Microbus to and from Estepona town. The main bus terminal, Estación de Autobuses de Estepona, is located on the Avenida Litoral, near the main Carrefour shopping centre in Punta Plata. There are bus stops along the Avenida Litoral: opposite Carrafour, opposite McDonalds and at Calle del Mar Nostrum near Mar Azul Resort.
