Dama Juana restaurant in Jaén

Dama Juana, which opened in March 2019 in Jaen, is named after the grandmother of chef-owner Juan Aceituno. Sadly she died just two weeks after the restaurant in Jaen’s barrio San Ildefonso opened.

Mijas Hostals & Hostels

Mijas can be split into two main areas; Mijas Costa and Mijas Pueblo. Mijas Costa is popular among tourists and has a large English population, it is here that you will find the town's beaches and more hotel and apartment rental opportunities. Mijas Pueblo is the original old town of Mijas and boasts authentic Andalucian town houses, colourfully decorated with flora.

Salduba Sports Complex

Synthetic grass football pitches, courts for futsal (indoor football), handball, basketball, mini-basketball, korfball, volleyball and badminton. There are also areas for martial arts and rhythmic gymnastics, along with changing rooms and toilets.

Almuñécar Archaeological Museum

The Archaeological Museum also known as the 'Cave of 7 Palaces' is, perhaps surprisingly, not located within a cave in Almuñécar, but instead represents the largest section of the Roman Palace. Hieroglyphics found within the 'cave' date back to the time of the reign of Pharaoh Apofis I cerca 1500 BC.

Wakeboarding

Wakeboarding is said to be the fastest growing water sport in the world. Practiced on lakes or the sea, it's like a combination of snowboarding, waterskiing and skateboarding or a cross between mono skiing and surfing. Although it may contain an essence of all these activities, wakeboarding is most definitely a water sport in its own right.

Built as a resort town to accommodate the huge influx of tourists that descend upon the Costa Almería during the summer period, Almerimar has no shortage when it comes to apartments. There are also many self-catering options around the town, including apartments and villas.

Armilla

This town, located close to Granada City, played an important role in the numerous battles that took place here during the re-conquest of Andalucía by the Christians. The Armilla population is believed to date back to before the Roman occupation. The village was a passageway for silk merchants on their way to the coast; unfortunately, knowledge of silk spinning was lost after the Christian militants ended the Muslim occupation.

La Campiña

La Campiña de Jaen is the rural area in the north western part of the province consisting of the following municipal districts. Andújar, Arjona, Arjonilla, Cazalilla, Escañuela, Espelúy, Lahiguera, Lopera, Marmolejo, Villanueva de la Reina.

Rubite

Rubite is an ideal destination for nature lovers, with the perfect combination of the sierra together with both sandy and rocky beaches. It is considered to be the balcony to the coast from the Alpujarras mountains. It has about 400 inhabitants.

Ermita de Santa Quiteria

The chapel dates to 1511 and is cited among the hermitages belonging to the Archpriesthood of Iznatoraf. It has a single nave and lacks architectural value, due to the numerous reforms that it has undergone. Located 3km from the town centre, in a place popularly known as “Cerrico Pelón”, off the J-6220.

San Fernando

The town of San Fernando, often referred to as La Isla del Sur (the Island of the South), is not actually an island but a small peninsula, set within the stunning setting of the Bay of Cadiz. Covering an area of some 30 km2, it is connected to Cadiz City by an eight kilometre strip of land and for centuries was connected on the rest of the mainland only by the Zuazo bridge. It is an important Andalucian town, with a population of close to 100,000.
