Wildlife Parks

In Andalucia we can find many different wildlife Parks. Most of them are Zoos such as Zoo Castellar NaturaParc, Fuengirola BioParc or Selwo Adventure Park, where you can enjoy a nice day and view a huge range of animals, birds and other species from around the world.

Karting

There are many karting circuits in Andalucia where you can have fun. They can be found at Campillos, La Puebla de Cazalla, Cartaya, Torre del Mar.

Theme Parks in Andalucia

Whether you´re visiting Andalucia on holiday are looking for a change of scene from the beach for a day, or you live here and you want to take your child somewhere where they can learn about the culture and history of the region, Andalucia´s theme parks encompass movies, science and history, making education fun for children of all ages - not forgetting those ever-popular, heart-in-your-mouth, upside-down rides, of course.

Marine Centres

Andalucia has a number of Marine Centres that are ideal for family entertainment and education. Most are open from May to September. There are also a number of small quieter Marine Science Centres that are also open to the public as an educational and environmental projects.

Minoo Gazdar - Director

A successful businessman who established himself in Marbella in 1986. His current business provides a wide variety of office services, including graphic design and printing. Minoo has launched numerous successful projects in sales and Marketing.

Michelle Chaplow - Director

Michelle Chaplow has lived and worked in Andalucia in Southern Spain for over 20 years as a freelance photographer specialising in travel and tourism having studied photography at Seville University. Her work has appeared in magazines, books and newspapers all over Europe, Australia, the United States of America and even China. In 1996 she was awarded a prestigious state contract by Turespaña, the Spanish Tourist Board. In 2001 she received an honorary mention for her continuous work in the field of photography in promoting Spanish tourism and the Ortiz Echagüe prize given by the Spanish Ministry of Tourism and Commerce.

Chris Mason - Director

A graduate of Kings College London. Chris is a computer programmer based in Kingston upon Thames, London. Together with Chris Chaplow, they established their first internet venture in 1995 and inaugurated Andalucia.com the following year. Chris brings valuable computing and business skills to the company as a founding director.

Christopher Wawn - Director

Christopher Wawn was appointed Director of Andalucia.com in 2000 having been associated with the company since 1997.  During this period Chris has led on many projects, such as the Pueblo Guide and Financial Services Section.  His knowledge of Andalucia has been of great assistance to the site's content pages and he has contributed many articles based on his series of books, 'In Search of Andalucia'.  In addition, Chris is a Chartered Manager and has assisted the Board and Company Secretary and been involved in setting many of the annual Budgets.

Palacio Municipal

The Municipal Palace (1620-1639) is an Asset of Cultural Interest (2009) where festive, religious and residential spaces have been combined since its creation. As a comedy house, it was one of the best in Andalusia.

Iglesia de San Bartolomé

It is unknown exactly when this church was built, however, it is likely that it was a long building process, including some reflections of the aestheticism of the sixteenth century, such as its imposing bell tower.

Antiguo Convento de las Capuchinas

The Capuchin Mothers settled in the Capuchin Convent in 1682. At first, it was under the patronage of the Town Hall, but later passed to Juan Moreno Ponce de León. With the transfer of the Capuchin Mothers in 1982 to their convent in Córdoba.

Convento de las Madres Trinitarias Descalzas

The presence of the Contemplative Trinitarian Mothers in the city dates back to 1587, the year in which they founded their convent. Little remains of the original convent, due to the passing time and successive renovations.

Museo Arqueológico Profesor Sotomayor

This museum showcases the pottery tradition of the Roman City near Andújar (Isturgi), as well as showing how pottery has survived in this territory over two thousand years, fuelled by industry.

Antiguo Convento de los Jesuitas

The construction of this building began in 1621 for the establishment of the Order of the Society of Jesus, on the condition that a College of Latin and Science be established to educate the children of the local aristocracy. In the nineteenth century, it became a Municipal Hospital.

Museo de la Virgen de la Cabeza

This museum collects information and objects relating to the historical devotion to the Virgen de la Cabeza over the centuries, and the artistic and anthropological significance of this worship.

Torre del Reloj

According to local tradition, the clock tower is located where the minaret of the Arab mosque that existed in this square once stood. Built in brick and stone, it was completed in 1534. It features a fabulous imperial coat of arms, which shows the lineage of the Trastamara and the Habsburgs on the right-hand side.
