El Perrate

Siles

Siles is another of the towns in the province of Jaén that is part of the Castle Route through Andalusia thanks to the Torre del Cubo, a tower of circular plan which is all that remains of a castle of Muslim origin renovated in Christian times, and which has the category of Historical Monument. Also in the same category are the remains of a wall, another tower and the Torre de Magdalena that can be seen among the hamlets of its picturesque town centre of stepped streets. It has about 2200 inhabitants.

Ferries - Tarifa to Tangier, Morocco

The route between Tarifa (Cost de la Luz, Spain) and the buzzing city of Tangier Ville (Morocco) is the  recommended route for travellers. Frequent ferries also connect nearby Algeciras with Ceuta (Spanish enclave in North Africa) and Tangier MED which is the out-of-town port better suited for those driving south in Morocco. Cijuela

Cijuela is a village of Arabic origin; originally named “Zujuela” which means “little plain”. It possesses very fertile soils and a series of fluvial networks, which provide water and irrigation for the whole area. The most important archaeological remains found in Cijuela is an old Nasrid tower. It can be found in the outskirts of the village and has become a key destination for pilgrimages.

Auditorio Municipal Rocío Jurado, Sevilla

This venue in Isla Cartuja, which is currently closed, is located next to the Jardines del Guadalquivir. It has been used mainly for concerts, but also some sporting and cultural events. Built originally for Seville’s Universal Exposicion 1992, the 8,000-capacity auditorium was renamed to commemorate the popular Andalucian copla singer Rocio Jurado after her death in 2006.
