El Ancón sierra & Ancón Alto
El Ancón Sierra and El Ancón Alto were developed in the mid '80s by John David Green, the artist and property developer from London, and brother of art gallery owner Richard Green. John previously developed the beach-side estate El Ancón next to the Oasis Club, built in 1973.
The first phase of El Ancon Sierra was finished in 1983, with the opening of the clubhouse attended by Princess Michael of Kent, among other dignitaries.
El Ancón consists of two phases: the lower phase has 14 villas, 10 townhouses, and 24 terrace apartments; and the upper was completed in 1992 as a set of terrace apartments.
