Hostelworld lists hundreds of hostels in all the cities of Andalucia, including Seville, Cádiz, Granada, Málaga, Almería and Córdoba, as well as interesting towns such as Ronda, Guadix, Antequera and Algeciras, and coastal resorts such as the Costa de la Luz (Conil and Tarifa), the Costa del Sol (Estepona, Marbella and Nerja).
Despite Marbella's glamourous reputation with high class hotels and luxury experiences, there's still a selection of accommodation on offer at affordable prices. In the old town of Marbella many have gone about converting their properties into guest houses or hostals which offer what could be considered a more basic hotel experience. Hostels with shared dorms also exist but are not as abundant as in places like Granada, for example, where the hostel scene is more common. In Marbella, most accommodation will offer free wifi, if not in individual rooms, it will be present in communal areas.

Hostels in Marbella
A HOSTEL in Spain is similar to what you would find in a 'hostal' in most parts of the world - the opportunity to stay in shared dorms at a budget price. These are often social hubs among travelers, with common rooms and, at times, cheap bars making them excellent places to meet new people or find another travel companion. Many hostels also have private or family rooms available.

A HOSTAL (also know as a guest house) provides basic accommodation at a reasonable price and a smaller (than hotel) private room. Hostals ( also called Pensions) are common in Spain, with many in larger towns occupying a floor of an apartment block or in villages and smaller towns located in traditional building. They are often family run. Not all rooms have en-suite facilities.
