Contemporary music and dance festivals in Andalucia

This is the sixth edition of this music festival in Seville, which covers all genres from pop, rock, and electronica to jazz and funk. 

Its setting is the spectacular Plaza de España in Maria Luisa park in the Andalucian capital, with the artists performing on a stage in front of the illuminated building, at the central halfway point. The audience can choose from either standing or tiered seating (a few concerts are all seated). There is a light show before each concert, projected onto the façade of the building itself, and you can have a drink and a tapas at stalls set out along Avenida Isabel la Catolica, opposite the Plaza. The food available in "The Village" is the usual festival fare of fried fish, burgers, brioches and sandwiches; beer and a gin bar. Note that you can't take your own food or drinks into the concert area. The Village area stays open late after each concert, with DJs till 3am.

The 2026 edition sees the following international acts on stage: Lenny Kravitz, Marilyn Manson, Maroon 5, Jamiroquai, the Prodigy and Sting, plus a host of Andalucian, Spanish and Latin stars.

In 2025 there were performances on 28 nights, with 277,000 people attending, of whom 46,259 were international visitors.

Robbie Williams
Robbie Williams, the British singer who found success at 16 as a member of the group Take That, returns to Andalucía again this year.  Williams, who later built a highly successful solo career, topping the charts with numerous hits such as Rock DJ, Angels, Let Me Entertain You and Feel, has a connection with Málaga. He performed his first concert on the Costa del Sol in June 2023, when he appeared at the Marenostrum cycle of concerts in Fuengirola.  'The bad boy' of British pop included the sold-out concert in his tour to celebrate his 25-year solo career.   He returned to Andalucía in April 2025 for a concert at the Levante dock in Málaga port to celebrate the christening of the new ship 'Mein Schiff Relax'.

Lenny Kravitz
New York singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Lenny Kravitz is no stranger to Andalucía’s impressive festival scene, having performed at the Starlite festival in Marbella in 2015, and at Marenostrum Fuengirola in 2020. The American rocker, whose hits include Are You Gonna Go My Way, It Ain’t Over Til It’s Over and American Woman, has sold over 40 million albums worldwide.  Known for his energetic live show, Kravitz moves freely through genres ranging from blues to ballads, to reggae, rock, soul and funk. Since his career took off in the early 1990s, Kravitz has continued to record and tour extensively, as well as acting in several films. He won Music Icon of the Year at the 49th People’s Choice Awards in 2024, the same year in which he received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Kravitz released Blue Electric Light, his 12th album, later that year, which was described in the music press as "A typically diverse collection pulsating with positive energy."

Marilyn Manson
Widely considered one of the most controversial figures in Gothic rock and heavy metal, and known for his distinctive and ever-changing androgynous wardrobe and makeup, American musician Brian Hugh Warner, better known as Marilyn Manson, is the lead singer and the only original member of the same titled band that found fame during the 1990s. The group’s name is formed by combining the first name of the American sex symbol Marilyn Monroe with the last name of the male serial killer Charles Manson. Clocking up hit singles such as The Beautiful People, Torniquet, The Dope Show and Rock is Dead, his lyrics have drawn criticism from American politicians, especially after the band was blamed for supposedly influencing the perpetrators of the Columbine High School massacre in 1999. Despite this, the band has sold over 50 million records worldwide.

Moby
American musician and songwriter Moby is recognised as a pivotal figure in early 1990s dance music, playing a key role in popularising the genre for mainstream audiences in both the United States and the United Kingdom. His mainstream breakthrough came in 1991 with the single Go, and he has since sold over 20 million records. His 1999 album, the million-selling Play, gave him the first of his two number one hits in the UK Official Album Chart - Why Does My Heart Feel So Bad and Natural Blues. His last recording in June 2024, Always Centred at Night, charted in several countries across Europe. Later that year, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the album Play, Moby launched his first tour in over a decade, playing to sold-out arenas across Europe.

Jamiroquia
With hits such as Virtual Insanity, Space Cowboy and Cosmic Girl, along with charismatic lead singer Jay Kay’s array of flamboyant hats, Jamiroquai will need no introduction to fans of the London-based funk and acid jazz movement of the 1990s. Their third studio album, Travelling Without Moving, earned a Guinness World Record for being the best-selling funk album of all time. By 2017, Jamiroquai had sold over 26 million albums globally.  In February 2026, it was announced that Jamiroquai had signed to BMG for the release of their upcoming 9th studio album.

Sting
Former Police frontman, Sting, makes a welcome return to Southern Spain this year, stopping off in Seville during his current world tour. His performance at the Icónica Fest is one of several Spanish dates, which will see him return to the Marenostrum festival in Fuengirola, along with other concerts in Cádiz and Granada. The 17-time Grammy Award-winning artist and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee is celebrating the 30th anniversary of his fifth solo album, Mercury Falling, which reached the top 10 in 18 countries in 1996.

Maroon 5
Maroon 5 is an American pop/rock band from Los Angeles, California, who released their first album, Songs About Jane, in 2002, which brought the group relative success with the singles Harder to Breath and She Will be Loved. The band has since enjoyed success with hits like Moves Like Jagger (2011), which reached number one on the American Billboard charts, while the single One More Night topped the Billboard Hot 100 for nine consecutive weeks the following year. Maroon 5 has sold over 135 million records throughout their career, with their most recent release, Love is Like (2025), receiving mixed critical and commercial responses.

The Prodigy
Known for their energetic blend of electronic, punk, and rave sounds, The Prodigy are recognised as one of the most influential electronic music bands in the world. The band formed in Essex in 1990 and emerged during the underground rave scene, receiving relative success with their early hits. Following their debut album, Experience (1992), the group began to experiment with techno and breakbeat, reaching their commercial peak with their third album, The Fat of the Land. This recording spawned the singles Fire Starter and Breath, which both reached the number one spot in the UK singles chart in 1996.  Described as "the premiere dance act for the alternative masses", The Prodigy have sold an estimated 25 million records worldwide. They have had seven consecutive UK number one albums, which has gained them numerous awards, including two Brit Awards for Best British Dance Act. The Prodigy’s live performances have been described as a “visual and audio spectacle that promises to take the audience to the edge of their adrenaline". The band is no stranger to Andalucía, having performed at the 2025 edition of the Icónic Fest and also the Marenostrum music cycle in Fuengirola last year.

Fatboy Slim
Fatboy Slim is an English DJ and musician who played a key role in popularising the big beat genre during the 1990s. His tracks often blend samples from diverse musical styles with pop song structures, layered rhythms and catchy, slogan-like vocals. The former bass play of British pop band The House Martins, his music has been described as a “pop art-styled collage of samples”.

Hombres G
Hombres G is a Spanish pop band founded in Madrid in 1982 and who later achieved international recognition, primarily in Latin America. The four-piece group, famed for songs classed as the soundtracks to teenage life in 1980s Spain, has since released thirteen studio albums and clocked up over 20 million record sales worldwide. Their music blends catchy pop melodies, light rock instrumentation and youthful lyrics influenced by British and American pop-rock of the late 70s and 80s.

Aitana
Spanish pop singer and actress Aitana first gained national recognition in 2017 when she came runner-up in the Spanish reality television talent competition Operación Triunfo (X-Factory-style reality TV show). Her debut studio album, Spoiler, was released in 2019 and earned a nomination for Best Pop Vocal Album at the Latin Grammy Awards.  Dubbed the “Spanish Princess of Pop”, she went on to explore electropop with Alpha in 2023, and in 2025, she released her fourth studio album, Cuarto Azul, which triumphed at the 26th Latin Grammy Awards, marking Aitana's first career win at the ceremony.  Aitana is best known for her electropop tunes “Lo Malo”, “Telefono”, “Vas a Quedarte”, and “Mon Amour”.

Marco Carola y Paco Osuna
Marco Carola is an Italian DJ. Paco Osuna is an international techno icon with over three decades of experience. He is one of the today's leading figures of contemporary techno music and has built a career guided above all by innovation, creativity and a search for new forms of expression through music and sound. His work in recent years has focused on developing the 'now here' concept, consolidating his global presence in cities such as Mexico City, Miami, New York, Amsterdam and Barcelona.

Viva Suecia
Indie rock band Viva Suecia formed in Murcia in 2013 and is considered one of the leading groups in Spanish indie music. The band, so named due to their love for Swedish post rock music, are renowned for their remarkable live performances, building their reputation at festivals such as the Cruïlla Barcelona, the Benicasm International Festival in Castellón and the Sonorama-Ribera in Burgos. The fifth album, titled ‘Hecho en tiempos de paz’ (made in times of peace) was released in October 2025, and tickets for the concerts on the tour to promote the album sold out quickly. Their performance at the Icónica Fest is one of 12 dates included in their current tour of Spain.

Lola Índgo

Born in Madrid in 1992 (although raised in the province of Granada), singer and dancer Lola Índgo rose to fame in 2017 after appearing in series nine of the Spanish reality television talent competition Operación Triunfo.  After being eliminated from the show, the singer signed with Universal Music and released her debut single, Ya no queero ná, a smash-hit in Spain that sold 100,000 copies.

Celebrated for her Latin electropop style, her brief yet powerful music career has brought her several accolades, including the MTV Europe Music Award for Best Spanish Act, which she won in 2019 and again in 2024.

Pablo Alborán
Born in Málaga in 1989, Pablo Alborán is a Spanish singer-songwriter, who, since his debut in 2010, he has received twenty-four Latin Grammy Award nominations, three in 2011. He has released six studio and two live albums and thirty-four singles, featuring a mixture of ballads, light flamenco and Latin pop.  He began his artistic journey performing flamenco in a restaurant in Málaga and gained national recognition after uploading videos of himself singing on YouTube, the first of which garnered over two million views on the channel.  He is currently one of the most popular pop artists in Spain and the Spanish-speaking world. His debut single, Solamente tú, became a big hit in Spain and helped launch his first album, which debuted at number 1 on the Spanish charts.

Los Delinquentes
Los Delinqüentes are an Andalusian band that fuses festive flamenco styles with rock, blues, reggae and funk that formed in Jerez de la Frontera, Cádiz, in 1998. Founding member Miguel Benítez died of a heart attack at the age of 21 in 2004, although the band continued recording and performing until they separated in 2012 to pursue solo musical projects. The band reformed in February 2025 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their debut album (El sentimiento garrapatero que nos traen las flores), hailed as an “essential work of contemporary popular music”. The band are currently touring Spain, with concerts in Barcelona, Valencia, Madrid, Bilbao, Murcia, Zaragoza, Seville, Cádiz and Málaga, The presence of Miguel Benítez will be very much felt throughout this tour, as his image and voice will be projected on a giant screen above the stage, singing in sync with the rest of the band.

Kany García
Encarnita ‘Kany’ García is a singer and songwriter born in Puerto Rico in 1982 who released her debut album (Cualquier día) in July 2007. The album yielded five singles and afforded her global status and her the first success on the American Billboard Hot Latin Songs charts. The singer has enjoyed a successful career, especially in Latin American countries, where she is constantly nominated at the Latin Grammy Awards. Described as having a voice “that transmits emotions”, Kany García’s music features acoustic arrangements with lyrics that emphasise emotional themes and personal reflection.

Raphael
Raphael is one of Spain’s most famous and influential singers of all time. Known for his powerful voice and dramatic performance style, he has been a major figure in Spanish-language music for more than six decades. With over 70 million record sales under his belt, his most popular hits include Yo Soy Aquel, Mi Gran Noche, Escándalo, Digan lo que Digan and Qué Sabe Nadie. Born in Linares, Jaén, in 1943, Raphel grew up in Madrid, after his family moved to the capital when he was only a few months old. He rose to fame in the early 1960s after winning the Benidorm Song Festival, although his popularity grew internationally when he represented Spain at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1966 and 1967. His many achievements include receiving an extremely rare Uranium Disc in 1980 from Hispavox and SGAE for reaching over 50 million record sales. Sometimes called El Divo de Linares, the legendary singer was diagnosed with primary brain lymphoma in late 2024, which forced him to pause his career. Despite this, he returned to the stage in 2025, showing remarkable resilience by continuing to perform and record.

Charlotte de Witte 
Known as the “queen of techno”, Charlotte de Witte is a Belgian DJ and record producer who has become a reference point in contemporary electronic music, best known for her dark and stripped-back brand of acid techno 

La Plazuela + Califato ¾
The Granada-based duo La Plazuela are renowned for their unique blend of traditional electronic music fused with flamenco, pop and funk, and their energetic stage presence. They began their musical career in 2017, through their YouTube channel, with the publication of several covers and original compositions. The duo site their influences as Camarón de la Isla, Enrique Morente, Pata Negra and Ketama.  With a style described as futuristic folklore, Califato ¾ is a ‘nuevo flamenco’ band from Seville that fuses traditional Andalusian music with elements of psychedelic rock, hip hop, punk and electronic music. Founded in 2018, the band is considered a leading figure in Andalusian folk music.

Romeo Santos y Prince Royce
Born in New York in 1981, Anthony Santos, known artistically as Romeo Santos, is considered the King of Bachata, especially in Latin America. He was the vocalist and main song writer of the Dominican band Aventura, a group that was key in popularising the bachata internationally. Geoffrey Royce Rojas de León – Prince Royce -   is an American singer born in the Bronx in 1989. He began writing poetry while in his teens, a hobby that would later evolve into songwriting. He is known mainly for blending pop and rhythm and blues with modern bachata music, making his music accessible to mainstream audiences.

Isabel Pantoja y Il Divo

Isabel Pantoja celebrates the prolific and successful career of one of Spain's most renowned singers. Born in Triana, Seville, in 1956, Isabel Pantoja is one of the most iconic and loved artists in Spanish music, although her complicated personal life is often the content of the Spanish media and television gossip programmes. Over the years she has proved herself to be a versatile performer with a powerful and emotive voice, which adapts to a wide range of musical genres, including copla, ranchera, light flamenco and pop. The 70-year-old singer has achieved both national and international success, since debuting in 1974 with the album Fue por tu voz. Over her long career she has released more than 30 albums, selling 2.6 million copies worldwide, and performed extensively in Spain and Latin America.   In July 2025, Isabel Pantoja collaborated with Il Divo on a song and music video – Es una pasada.

Il Divo are a multinational classical crossover vocal group formed in the UK in 2003. The male quartet was created and promoted by music mogul Simon Cowell. As of 2025, the group has released ten studio albums that are a blend of opera-style singing with popular music.

Dani Fernández
Currently in the middle of his La Insurrección tour, which takes in most of the major cities and towns in Spain, Dani Fernández is a Spanish singer best known as a former member of the boy band Auryn. After the group's breakup in 2016, the Latin pop singer launched his solo career, releasing his debut album, Incendio, in 2019, which reached number two on the official Spanish album charts in its first week.

Antonio Orozco
Antonio Orozco was born in Barcelona in 1972 and is celebrated for his mixture of pop ballads, flamenco and rock music.  With over 1.5 million records sold globally, he has performed over 2,500 concerts in Spain, Europe and Latin America. After relocating to Seville, he began playing flamenco guitar as a hobby, but his talent as a songwriter soon surfaced. He released his debut album (Un reloj y una vela) in 2000, which sold over 100,000 copies and secured his place among the country’s top singer/songwriters. Since 2013, he has participated as a coach in the Spanish television talent series La Voz.

Rubén Blades con Roberto Delgado Big Band
Latin jazz and salsa musician and singer Rubén Blades was born in Panama City in 1948. From the 1970s to present day, he has recorded more than twenty studio albums and has participated as a guest on more than 15 recordings with artists of various genres and styles. Roberto Delgado Big Band is a Panamanian salsa orchestra that, since 1996, became the backing band for most of Rubén Blades’ projects.
