'El vínculo que nos une' ('The bond that unites us') is by artist Ignacio Basave Cavanna from Madrid.
The work depicts a touching and sympathetic scene between a grandmother and her granddaughter. A muralist, draughtsman, illustrator and painter, Basave has had a long professional career, with individual works and participation in collective projects.

This work was the winning entry in the III International Mural Competition of Estepona 2024. The jury awarded the first prize of €10,000 to Ignacio Basave Cavanna from Madrid for his work 'El vínculo que nos une' ('The bond that unites us').
The jury had previously selected the works of ten artists as finalists, who were each awarded €1,500 to paint their murals in Estepona over 10 days in October 2024.
The bond that unites us, is located on the north east facade of the Acuarius building in Calle Tres Banderas near intersection with Calle José Luis Díez.
