Villanueva de la Reina

Villanueva de la Reina is a mountain municipality dominated by plains and a landscape of holm oaks and pine forests. The town was on the route of the Roman Vía Augusta. It has about 3040 inhabitants.

There are shopping shopping centres and retail parks in Algeciras. Centro Comercial Puerta Europa west of Algeciras city next to the A-7 coat road. El Corte Inglés at Paseo Juan Pérez Arriete. Local street market takes place on Tuesdays.

Noor restaurant Córdoba

Chef Paco Morales conjures up dishes in Noor in Cordoba from Andalucia's long multicultural history - cocina andalusi. He was awarded a Michelin star in 2016, followed by a second star in 2019. His passion is the region's forgotten gastronomic heritage, focusing on the Arab period in the 10th century when Cordoban caliphate was at the peak of its power.

Cordoba City - Fascinating Fact 2 - Leather and whips

As well as the typical collections of archaeology, fine art and bullfighting paraphernalia, Cordoba also has some more unusual museums: leather art, patios and torture. The city is famous for its leatherwork, and its most historic technique, guadameci, is an intricate embossed design with gold, silver and coloured paint, unique to Cordoba, which dates back to the 10th century.

Estepona Town Hall

The 'old town hall' was located in Plaza Blas Infante in the old town It now houses an archaelogical museum. The functioning town hall including the Mayor's office and many of the departments swere located in Edificio Puerto Sol opposite the bullring in the port near the light house from 2002 until summer 2023

Granada Airport - Car Hire

When staying in Granada city, you may wish to visit other areas around Granada province. Popular places to visit from Granada city include the Sierra Nevada Ski Resort, and the coast of the Costa Tropical and its beaches.  There many landmarks and monuments to see, and to make sure you see as many of these as possible we recommend hiring a car. As with most tourist areas car hire offices are available at the airport.

Travellers will be pleased to hear that there are plenty of tourist offices in Andalucia. All the large towns and popular tourist destinations will have a tourist office supported by the Regional or Provincial government or the local Town Hall.

Albox

Albox is set amidst a stunning landscape of arid hills with olive groves, citrus fruit orchards and almond trees, and dramatic hills and valleys. Situated in the basin of the Almanzora River, Albox is bisected by one of the Almanzora’s tributaries, a mostly dry riverbed known as the Rambla, which is crossed by three bridges. The town has around 12,500 inhabitants.

Catedral de la Merced, Huelva

The Iglesia de la Merced used to serve as the church of the neighbouring convent, the Convento de la Merced, and was designated a cathedral in 1953. It is one of the best examples of Baroque architecture in Huelva province, with a striking pink exterior and a bright white marble interior. It dominates the Plaza de la Merced, an elegant square lined with tall palm trees.

Seville City - Fascinating Fact 6

Visitors to Seville will notice a symbol on many signs around the city, from taxis and buses to sewer covers, consisting of the letters ´NO8DO´. This is the city´s logo, and legend says that it originates from the 13th-century coat of arms awarded to Sevilla by King Alfonso X the Wise.

Hotels in Costa de la Luz, Huelva

If you want unspoilt, wild beaches, the Costa de la Luz is for you. From the Coto Doñana Park with its wild boar, lynx and rare birds, to trendy wind and kite-surfing spot Tarifa, this coast, which stretches between the Portuguese border in the west to Tarifa in the east, is a haven of tranquility.

Williams & Humbert

One of the less well-known bodegas, this was founded in 1877 by Alexander Williams and Arthur Humbert. It is now owned by Spanish company Medina. While not as attractive as the other bodegas, in terms of their plant-covered different buildings and patios, it can claim to offer the biggest single-building bodega in the world - a staggering 180,000m2, it stretches as far as the eye can see, and beyond.
