Lobo Park

In this wildlife park near Antequera, you can see four different species of wolves, including the native Iberian wolf, in a semi-natural habitat. You're taken on a guided walk through the beautiful landscape, while the guide explains these majestic wild beasts. The walk includes stops at observation platforms, where you can come into close contact with the wolves. Feeding time is fascinating, as always with animals; there are also night tours ("Howl Nights"), where you can hear the wolf packs howling along with their keeper.

Danza Invisible

Probably the town's most famous sons are the pop band, Danza Invisible. The band, which was formed in Torremolinos in 1981, has kept close links with the town, even though they are now based in Madrid. The band were pioneers of the La Movida Madrileña, a countercultural movement that emerged during the early years of the transition from the Franco era.

Apartments

Almuñecar is situated between Nerja and Motril in Granada province. It’s Granada’s most popular coastal destination on the Costa Tropical. In approximately 800BC the Phoenicians were the first settlers in the area and there are artefacts from this period in the town’s museum in the Castle of San Miguel.

Once notorious for its louche inhabitants, the Alameda is the heart of bohemian Seville. Laguna del Gosque Natural Reserve

The seasonal saltwater Laguna del Gosque provides an important back-up for birds in the nearby Laguna de Fuente de la Piedra Natural Reserve. Thousands of flamingos breed in the Fuente de Piedra, so they are also a common sight at this reserve.

Lupión

Lupión occupies a plateau surrounded by olive groves. The resultant olive oil industry and cotton cultivation in the Guadalquivir Valley form the town’s two main sources of income. The great archaeological wealth of the town demonstrates its rich and varied history. It has about 830 inhabitants.

Semana Santa - Holy week in Andalucia

Holy Week, Semana Santa, in Andalucia is an event that literally transforms towns and cities across this region. Processions of elaborately decorated floats with Jesus and Mary statues, groups of pointy-hood wearing Nazarenos (penitents), and shrill brass bands, walk slowly through the streets, from their parish church to the cathedral and back.

Las Lagunas de las Cantera y El Tejón

This 210ha reserve has two lakes, the Laguna de Las Canteras and the Laguna El Tejón, both of which are prone to drying up in summer. Take the A381 from Jerez de la Frontera. The reserve is situated some 18km from Jerez on the right-hand side of this road.

Sotogrande Music Festival 2023

The second edition of the Sotogrande Music Festival took place in the grounds of the Puerto Maria Polo Club, Los Pinos fields from 1 July until 15 September, a musical extravaganza that will present artistes of diverse styles, ranging from more traditional music such as copla, or Spanish song, to energetic genres such as urban pop, rock and rap.

Sierras de Cazorla, Segura y Las Villas Natural Park

With a total surface area of 209,920ha and covering almost a fifth of Jaen province, this is Spain's largest protected area and one its most extensive forested zones. Located in eastern Jaen province, it connects the Sierra Morena and the Subbética mountain ranges. The highest peak in this immense park is Pico Empanada at 2,107m and the entire park is higher than 600m.
