Maro
Maro is a tiny hamlet to the east of Nerja. It clings to the steep hilside overlooking the sea. It is the most easterly village of Malaga province and the Costa del Sol sitting on the border of Granada province and the Costa Tropical and Almunecar.

Maro Beach
Maro is perhaps best known for its unspoilt beaches and countryside nearby. Playa Maro and is often listed as one of the best beaches in Spain. Not for the facilities, it is not Blue Flag, but for the location. You can also rent Kayaks in the summer and explore the nearby coves and a cliff-face waterfall that is not reachable on foot.
