Ermita de San Sebastián
The chapel houses a sculpture of the town’s patron saint, San Sebastián. It was built thanks to local donations. Construction of the eighteenth-century chapel was prompted by a plague that devastated the Lecrín Valley but spared Padul itself. As a sign of gratitude for the saint’s help, a solemn vow was made to fast, pray, and hold a procession in his honour on his feast day. The chapel has simple lines and is built of stone. It has a plain doorway with a semicircular arch and a bell gable above this. It is located on Calle Colegios.
