El Padrón Mountainside is a largely rural district east of Estepona, extending inland towards the Sierra Bermeja mountains. The area is characterised by pine forests, eucalyptus, olive trees, and scrub-covered hillsides, with views across the Mediterranean coastline.

Reinoso and Los Llanos are two small rural-residential districts located on the eastern side of Estepona, between the El Padrón and Punta Plata districts. Although their boundaries are not formally defined, the district occupies roughly the area between the Río Padrón and the Arroyo de la Cala north of the A-7.

El Velerín is a mountainside area known more for its natural scenery and access to the lower slopes of the Sierra Bermeja mountain range than for dense development. it is characterised by spacious villas, farmhouses, and low-density urbanisation. With its elevation, many properties enjoy scenic views of the Mediterranean Sea.

Selwo is a residential area on the eastern side of Estepona, situated just inland from the A-7 coastal road. The area is centred around Selwo Aventura theme park.

Cancelada is a growing district to the east of Estepona, extending from Arroyo Taraje (towards Marbella) to the Río Guadalmansa in the west. The original residential area developed as a small village with traditional Andalucían character, defined by low-rise, whitewashed buildings and pedestrian streets.

El Velerín is a small suburb east of El Padrón. It is a low-density area on the coastal side, making it ideal for visitors looking to enjoy the beauty of the Andalucía Mediterranean coastline. The district is bounded by two rivers flowing down from the Las Reales de Sierras Bermeja mountains into the Mediterranean Sea: the Río del Velerín and the stream known as the Arroyo de las Cańas.

Along the eastern coastline of Estepona, located between the stream, Arroyo de la Cańas and the river, Rio Guadalmansa, is the district known as El Pirata. On the coastal side, it is a quiet residential area with a good choice of restaurants and hotels and beautiful views across the Mediterranean Sea towards Gibraltar and the coastline of Africa.

Punta Plata district of Estepona, the mountainside area of Punta Plata occupies the inland section of the district north of the Avenida del Literal (former N-340) extending west towards the Arroyo de la Cala and bounded to the north by the A-7. The landscape consists of agricultural land, natural vegetation, and scattered residential properties.

Along the eastern coastline of Estepona, located between the stream, Arroyo de la Cańas and the river, Rio Guadalmansa, is the district known as El Pirata. On the coastal side, it is a quiet residential area with a good choice of restaurants and hotels and beautiful views across the Mediterranean Sea towards Gibraltar and the coastline of Africa.

Parque Antena is a small, low-density residential area located on the mountainside between the Rio Guadalmansa (to the east of Marbella), Camino de la Boladilla and Calle Rio. The district comprises several established urbanisations and a golf course, offering a quiet and well-spaced living environment.

Villacana is situated on Estepona’s eastern coastline, between Estepona (14km) and Marbella (19km), directly off the A-7 coast road. The district extends from the Macdonald Villacana Club on the Calle de la Luz to the west of the stream known as Arroyo Taraje.

Costalita is one of Estepona’s most eastern districts, located along the coastline. With easy access to the A-7, visitors are close to the centre of Estepona, Puerto Banús, and Marbella. The district runs alongside Villacana to the west and Salidillo to the east, extending from Seguridad Costalita to the west of Calle Sotavento.

Punta Plata is the first district in the Estepona Eastern Districts. It starts east of the Arroyo de la Cala (Cala Stream), which runs just right of the Colegio San José (St Joseph’s College) along the coast until the Rio del Padrón (Padrón River) which froms the easter boundary of the district.

East of Punto Plata, visitors will enjoy a visit to the Padrón district. This low-density area showcases the benefits of the Andalucían Mediterranean coastline, offering visitors and residents the choice of a relaxing beach, beach clubs, and restaurants alongside the coastal  walkway to explore  the area.

This page offers links to pages with information about the districts of Estepona that are located to the east of Estepona town area. They are reached from the A-7 (old N-340 coast road). Most districts outlined below are located on one sitde or another of the coast road. These are usually refered to as Mountain side or Alta (high) or Sea side or Baja (low).

Along the eastern coastline of Estepona, adjacent to the Guadalmansa district, is the area known as Park Beach. On the coastal side, it is a small area extending from the Park Beach development to Calle Tamesis. It is a low-density residential area and has a designated camping and caravan site.
