Clinics in Marbella

There are a number of privately operated heath clinics in Marbella for patients to go without referal as an alternative to the state health service.  The state run facility is called the 'Ambulatorio' and  called Centro de Salud Leganitos in Plaza Leganitos north of the old town, there are smaller Consultorio La Campana Avenida Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer in the Nueva Andalucia area, Centro de Salud San Pedro in Avenida Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer, and to the east of the town centre Centro de Salud  Las Albarizas in Avenida Las Albarizas 1, and to the east Consultorio La Chapas in Calle Pinsapo.

Guadalhorce Club de Golf

This course is situated in the heart of the Costa del Sol, close to Malaga airport. The course is split into two distinct areas. The front 9 holes have gently undulating terrain and no major hazards. The back nine are more diverse with uneven terrain, raised greens, lakes and tropical vegetation.

Moriles

Moriles is a particularly interesting place for those keen on sampling Spain's rural wine culture. Visit in the last week of September for the Fiesta de la Cata Anual del Vino. It has around 3700 inhabitants.

La Rambla

The ceramics of La Rambla are one of the village's main attractions. Even in prehistoric times, residents used mud to make glasses and bowls, some of which are now on display in the local Museum. The village has around 7500 inhabitants.

Valenzuela

Valenzuela is renowned for its idiosyncratic Día del Corpus (Corpus Christi) celebrations; the streets are carpeted with colored sawdust creating varied designs for more than 2kms. The town has around 1200 inhabitants.

Nueva Carteya

Nueva Carteya produces an excellent olive oil with a Designation of Origin, which is well worth a try for "foodies". The village has around 5300 inhabitants.

Santaella

Santaella is transformed during the month of August, when the Plaza Mayor and Paseo Adarve are transformed into scenes from the Middle Ages and play host to a medieval-style feast. It has around 6,000 inhabitants.

Montalbán

Montalbán de Córdoba not only offers some excellent surrounding views, but the fascinating monuments of the Ermita del Calvario and the Ermita Madre de Díos. The town has around 4200 inhabitants.

Castro del Río

Castro del Río is a village famed for its olive oil and furniture made from olive wood, which has been exported as far as Japan. It has around 7800 inhabitants.

Montemayor

Montemayor is one of the vollages located on the tourist route; Ruta de los Castillos, (Route of the Castles) as there are two castles in the village; Castillo Ducla de Frías and Castillo de Dos Hermanas. It has about 3,900 inhabitants.

Espejo

The magnificent Castillo de Alcalat, built in the early fourteenth century, looms over this whitewashed village, which has around 3300 inhabitants.

Montilla

Montilla is world-famous for its wine and endless fields of grape-vines punctuate a landscape of gentle rolling hills. It is best known for its dry white wine which is made using the same solera method as sherry. The very sweet Pedro Ximenez grapes are used so consequently, it does not need fortifying.

Monturque

Monturque village has a collection of interesting things to see, all located at the top of the hill in a peaceful setting next to the viewpoint called the Mirador de los Paseillos or the "Balcón del Mundo" (Balcony of the World), where visitors can take panoramic views across the surrounding countryside. It has around 1900 inhabitants.

Aguilar de la Frontera

Aguilar de la Frontera is a charming town that can be missed if one is travelling on the A-45 motorway linking Córdoba-Antequera. It is certainly worth taking a detour, considering the interesting history, architecture and the unusual octagonal Plaza de San José. Aguilar de la Frontera has about 13, 400 inhabitants.

Torrecampo

Torrecampo is home to the Posada del Moro Museum, where you will find archaeological remains, handmade objects and an impressive collection of paintings and sculptures, explaining the history, culture and traditions of this village - which has about 1,200 inhabitants.

Hinojosa del Duque

Hinojosa del Duque is home to many monuments of historical and artistic interest, and for this reason it is considered one of the most important sites in northern Córdoba. It has about 6,900 inhabitants.
