Sotogrande Polo Tournaments
The Sotogrande Polo Tournaments are held every year from April to September. They are divided into four groups. First the Spring Tournaments, then the Early Summer Tournaments, followed by the prestigious International Summer Tournament, and finally the End of Summer Tournaments.
Admission to all matches during the season is free of charge.

Summer Tournaments 2026
The 55th International Polo Tournament, organised by the Ayala Polo Club, will begin with the Bronze Cup, which will be played from Monday 27th July to Saturday 1st August 2026. This will be followed by the Silver Cup, which will take place from 3th to 15th August, and will conclude with the Gold Cup, which will take place from 17th to 29th August.
The tournament features about 25 teams divided into three categories: High Handicap (20–22 goals), Medium Handicap (12–14 goals) and Low Handicap (6–8 goals). Matches will take place on the Ayala Sede Los Pinos fields in Sotogrande and Ayala Polo Club fields San Enrique de Guadiaro. About Handicaps
Sede Los Pinos. This area will include shops, a weekend market, food trucks, a Croft-sponsored bar, and three free concerts. Admission to all the polo matches is free. Spectators can enjoy the facilities of 'The Last Chukker', located between fields 3 and 4.

Players to look out for the 2026 season
| Camilo Castagnola | At only 22 years old, the young Argentinian has been participating in Sotogrande Polo Tournaments for 3 years, and is finally returning to the Los Pinos grounds after taking a break from Sotogrande. He originally played for the Dubai national team like his brother for the Copa de Oro, and two Copas de Plata, and is now preparing to be part of Ayala team for the 2026 season. |
| Bartolomé Castagnola | Finalist for the Copa de Oro in 2024, and the oldest of the Castagnola brothers, he has joined forces with Dubai national team for the second year, participating in the higher ranges of HandiCaps. He is known to be a player that is always reliable, and turns up in key moments. |
| Tomás Panelo | One of the biggest investments of the polo world, Tomás has a record of winning titles, including the Polo Open for the United States. The last time he was in Sotogrande, was in 2022, but this year he thinks it is the time to reach a higher level. |
| Pablo 'Polito' Pieres | After 3 years, Pablo will be returning to play in Sotogrande, to be one of the last cups that he wins, as he won the Copa de Plata in 2021, and was a finalist for the Copa de Oro. |
| Antonio Heguy | Playing for team Essso, Antonio will be making his first debut into the Alto handicap of Sotogrande, which the team hopes to create uncertainty within the competition. |
| Lorenzo Chavanne | Following in Pablo Mac Donough's footsteps, Lorenzo has had one of the highest growths in the polo world over the last few years. He hopes to gain a title with Amanara team this year. |

Late Summer Tournaments 2026
The Late Summer Tournaments continue with the Copa San Enrique de Guadiaro (3 to 6 September 2026) and close with the Copa Despedida, or Farewell Cup (10 to 13 September 2026). The Late Summer Tournaments usually take place between Sede Los Pinos and Ayala Polo fields in San Enrique, where in 2025 the finals for both tournaments took place at Ayala Polo fields in San Enrique. This will be confirmed towards the end of August.
