Sotogrande Polo Tournaments
The Sotogrande Polo Tournaments are held every year from April to September. They are divided into four groups. First the Spring Tournaments, then the Early Summer Tournaments, followed by the prestigious International Summer Tournament, and finally the End of Summer Tournaments.
Admission to all matches during the season is free of charge.

Summer 2025 Tournaments
The 54th International Polo Tournament, organised by the Ayala Polo Club, will begin with the Bionesta Pharmaceuticals Bronze Cup, which will be played from Monday 28th July to Saturday 2nd August 2025. This will be followed by the Terralpa Silver Cup, which will take place from 4th to 16th August, and will conclude with the Gold Cup, which will take place from 18th to 30th August.
The tournament features 23 teams divided into three categories: High Handicap (20–22 goals), Medium Handicap (12–14 goals) and Low Handicap (6–8 goals). Matches will take place on the Ayala Sede Los Pinos in Sotogrande and Ayala Polo Club pitches San Enrique de Guadiaro.
Spectators can enjoy the facilities of 'The Last Chukker', located between fields 3 and 4.
Sede Los Pinos. This area will include shops, a weekend market, food trucks, a Croft-sponsored bar, and three free concerts. Admission to all the polo matches is free.

Late Summer Tournaments
The Late Summer Tournaments continue with the Copa San Enrique de Guadiaro (4 to 7 September 2025) and close with the Copa Despedida, or Farewell Cup (11 to 14 September 2025). The Late Summer Tournaments usually take place at the Ayala Polo fields
Players to look out for this season:
| Camilo Castagnola | At only 22 years old, the young Argentinian has participated in the Sotogrande cups for the last 3 years, including the Copa de Oro, and two Copas de Plata, all of which he played under Dubai's national team. Now he is preparing to be the best new Andalucian polo player. |
| Bartolomé Castagnola | Finalist for the Copa de Oro in 2024, and the oldest of the Castagnola brothers, he has joined forces with Amanara team, and for the first time, he will be participating in the higher ranges of HandiCaps. He is known to be a player that is always reliable, and turns up in key moments. |
| Tomás Panelo | One of the biggest investments of the polo world, Tomás has a record of winning titles, including the Polo Open for the United States. The last time he was in Sotogrande, was in 2022, but this year he thinks it is the time to reach a higher level. |
| Pablo 'Polito' Pieres | After 3 years, Pablo will be returning to play in Sotogrande, to be one of the last cups that he wins, as he won the Copa de Plata in 2021, and was a finalist for the Copa de Oro. |
| Hilario Ulloa | Hilario was the champion of the Copa de Plata in 2023, with nine handicaps (goals), and as always, he aspires to gain another important title. |
| Pablo Mac Donough | Finalist for the Copa de Oro in 2023, and Copa de Plata in 2024, both with MB Polo team, Pablo will lead the team again this year. |

Summer International Tournament
The 54th edition of the Summer International Tournaments takes place in July and August (28th July to 30th August 2025) and is organised by Ayala Polo Club and generally takes place at the Los Pinos fields with some heats taking place at the Ayala polo fields.
There are three tournaments each year: Bronze (28 July to 2 August 2025), Silver (4th August to 16 August 2025 ) and Gold (18 August to 30 August 2025). Each tournament is divided into three handicap divisions: High, Medium and Low goals. About Handicaps.

Spring Tournaments
In 2025 the Spring / Easter Tournaments, were organized by the Iberian Polo Tour and took place at the Ayala polo fields and at the Los Pinos fields. The José Ignacio Domecq Cup was 3rd to 13th April 2025. The Baron de Strabrock Cup was 17th to 20th April 2025 and the Cupa de Jerez was 24th to 27th April. Spring Tournaments had been traditionally organised by Santa Maria Polo Club and took place over Easter and most weekends from late March to the end of April at their Puente de Hierro polo fields.
Early Summer Tournaments
Early Summer Tournaments in May are organised by Ayala Polo Club and generally take place at the Ayala polo fields.
