Tio Pepe Festival, Veranea en la Bodega, Jerez de la Frontera takes place once or twice week from 14 July to - 14th August 2026

Concert Music Festival is a large forty plus night concert series from 12 July to 14th August which takes place in the Sancti Petri resort in the municipal district Chiclana on the Costa de la Luz.

Cascamorras festival in the towns of Guadix and Baza has been declared Festival of International Tourism interest due to its intriguing history. Although the festival is relatively little-known outside Granada province, by latest estimates up to 20,000 people take part, running through the streets and covering each other in black olive oil in Baza and coloured paste in Guadix.

Holy Week, Semana Santa, in Andalucia is an event that literally transforms towns and cities across this region. Processions of elaborately decorated floats with Jesus and Mary statues, groups of pointy-hood wearing Nazarenos (penitents), and shrill brass bands, walk slowly through the streets, from their parish church to the cathedral and back.

The Málaga Marathon 2026 (Generali Maratón de Málaga) which takes place on the 14th November 2026 has become one of the most successful long-distance running events in Spain. Following the record-breaking success of recent years, the 2026 edition continues to offer a fast, flat course that appeals to both elite athletes and recreational runners. Held annually in late autumn, it is one of two major road marathons in Andalucia, alongside the Seville Marathon.

The first edition of Estepona Marathon: there will be two running in 2026. One being a full marathon, and the other, a half marathon. Named as the 'garden' of the Costa Del Sol, these marathons will go through the main streets of Estepona, going past the traditional flower pots, to along the coastline.

Seville will host the 24th edition of the Flamenco Biennial from Wednesday 9 September to Saturday 3 October 2026. This year’s edition features a program of more than 50 performances, including 22 world premieres, staged across eleven venues throughout the city. These range from intimate recitals in small, limited-capacity spaces to the gala performances in the Plaza de Toros de la Real Maestranza.

Amazingly 3rd to 5th September 2026 will be the 44th edition Zaidin Rock which is now the longest running free admission Rock Festival in Spain (and probably Europe). Free entrance, starts at 21.00 hrs.

Festival de Música Española (Spanish music festival), a ten-day musical extravaganza dedicated to one the city’s most formidable composers, Manuel de Falla.

The fifth edition of the El Argar Classical Music Festival takes place on Friday 29th August in Totana, Murcia, and on Saturday 30th August in the village of Antas in the province of Almería. Under the artistic direction of Swiss-Cuban mezzo-soprano Ana Häsler, the festival offers a unique cultural experience and includes a visit to the El Argar archaeological site in Antas, Almería — the cradle of one of Europe's oldest civilisations, the Bronze Age Argaric culture.

Subida al pico Veleta or the Climb to Pico Veleta is a 50km endurance race in the Sierra Nevada mountain range including a cumulative altitude gain of 2,705m to the top of the fourth highest peak in Spain.

Ultra Sierra Nevada is an ultra marathon of 100 kilometres in distance, involving a continuous ascent along paths and tracks from the city of Granada up to the summit of Pico Veleta, followed by a descent to Pradollan, a ski resort in the Sierre Nevada mountain range.

Donovan Kieth from Texas is at Louie Louie Estepona, on Thur 6th Aug 2026 at 22.00 hrs - Tickets on the door. Only 5€. Donovan is in Spain following his Pueblos Blancos Music Festival concerts. Louie Louie Rock music bar, located in the Edificio PuertoSol, Estepona Marina, next to O' Donoghues Irish Pub, opened in 2013. Louie Louie Live regularly hosts a mix of bands from Malaga, Seville and northern Spain, and often big name bands from the UK, USA, EU and Australia on European tours - quite an achievement for a small venue. Best known for rock and blues bands.

Seville Marathon, the third largest in Spain, with 14,000 runners taking part. It is traditionally held on the third Sunday in February. The Seville Marathon is usually very fast due to the flat course and (often) good weather. Race record is 2 hrs 04min 43 sec. The XL Zurich Marathon de Sevilla will take place on 15th February 2026.

This is the sixth edition of this music festival in Seville, which covers all genres from pop, rock, and electronica to jazz and funk in the spectacular Plaza de España in Maria Luisa park, with the artists performing in front of the illuminated building.

Estepona Summer Feria takes place the first week in July from Tuesday to Sunday and gives everyone a week to enjoy dancing, drinking and eating. Both the day fair and the night fair take place at the 'Parque Ferial y Deportivo' located at the top of Avenida Juan Carlos I next to the A-7 coast road that by-passes Estepona. 

Marenostrum Fuengirola celebrates its eleventh edition in 2026. Dates thus far announced run from 24th April to 12th September 2026. Marenostrum is one of the larger series of outdoor concerts events on the Costa del Sol. Supported and promoted by Fuengirola Town Hall, it presents a series of about 36 concerts that includes classical, rock, flamenco, rap, indie and pop music.

The Marbella International Film Festival has been held annually since 2006. It is traditionally held for a week in mid-September and provides a venue for encouraging artists from all parts of the world.
