In the Plaza de Europa, there are several other tea rooms and coffee houses and one of the most popular of them is Ítaca. This modern tearoom offers a vast range of teas and infusions, and customers can take advantage of their library, where books can be read as part of the service.
Casa Lopez, on the opposite side of the street, has been providing good old fashioned home cooking since 1996. It is another of the hidden treasures of Torremolinos, just far enough away from the main drag to be practically ignored by the tourists.
Bodega Guerola, which clings to the corner Calle de las Mercedes and Calle San Miguel, is a beautiful and somewhat inviting old tavern that was founded in 1962. The interior is delightfully decorated with wrought iron grills, rustic ornamentation and plenty of wood, yet the large barrel-type tables on the pavement outside are a wonderful place to watch the world go by.
Probably the town's oldest tapas bar, and one of the smallest, is Bar Flores, which first opened its doors during the 1940s. This symbolic tavern is situated in the centre of Torremolinos and offers customers a slice of times gone by.
On the opposite side of the square is another popular bar called El Portico and this hidden treasure specializes in Castilian cuisine. This rustic themed establishment opened in 1999 and offers a range of gourmet-style tapas, including quail eggs, asparagus, lacón Gallego (boiled ham), angula (baby eels), and roast pepper salad.
La Reja is a family run tapas bar that opened in 1969 and it is still run by the same family today. Decorated with the emblematic Andalusian tiles and walls adorned with images of the Semana Santa processions and local ferias, this little gem offers a wide selection of rustic tapas.
Situated just a few yards from the Plaza Costa del Sol, in Calle La Cruz, one will find La Campana, one of the town's oldest and most emblematic taverns. Some of the most famous wines of the province are served straight from the twelve oak barrels, and one will be tempted by their extensive selection of Sherries.
In addition to the abundance of hotels, high-rise apartment blocks, hostels and guest houses dotted around Torremolinos, there is also the possibility of camping. Camping Torremolinos consists of a mixture of bungalows and mobile homes built to accommodate lone travellers, couples and families alike.
Opened in the 1960´s as a riding school, El Ranchito now hosts the most spectacular Andalucian horse show on the Costa Del Sol. José Gonzalez bought the ranch in 1975, and continued running it as a school until the 1990´s when he decided to create a family horse show with animals trained by him.
This conference centre has 17 rooms with a total floor space of 9105 square metres and capacity for 4103 people. The largest room has a floor space of 1280 square metres and a capacity of 900 people.
Torremolinos has a huge selection of dining options, from takeaways and fast food to fine dining in exclusive locations. Restaurants in Torremolinos vary in quality, however there is a good amount of high-quality restaurants in the city, you just need to know where to go!
Some companies offer luxury yacht and boat hire, a luxury sailing concierge, who can arrange almost everything from sunset cruises with fine dining to trips to Morocco and Portugal. All in all it's great to see Andalucia from the sea.
The park counts over 300 crocs among its inhabitants, including the massive Gran Paco (known as Big Daddy in English), the biggest crocodile in Europe, measuring five metres and weighing over 600kg.
Numerous water rides and slides catering to all tastes, from the adrenaline junie to the gentle wallower in need of relaxation. Take your pick from the new rollercoaster-like boomerang, the highest kamikaze in Europe (22m), Super Slalom, rapids, and Black Hole, plus a wave pool and jacuzzi.
The Estacion de Autobus (bus station (95 238 24 19) in Torremolinos is not a bus station but a bus lay- by on Calle Hoyo 8 oposite the Hospital de Dia and near the junction with Plaza de las Añpujjaras. There is a small kiosk to purchase tickets. There are regular buses to most of the main Coast de Sol towns, including Benalmádena, Fuengirola and Marbella.

There are six main beaches in Torremolinos: Los Alamos, Playamar, Bajondillo, La Carihuela, Montemar and El Saltillo. The 7 km main promenade has recently undergone improvements with additional landscaping and wider pavements. Now all the beaches are linked.
Torremolinos has long enjoyed a reputation as one of the liveliest resort towns on the Costa del Sol. Torremolinos has always been popular for its glamourous nightlife and bohemian care-free attitude and this reputation was gained during the 1960s and '70s. Torremolinos' interesting history tells of the rich and famous, the beatniks and bohemians, and mass tourism frequenting the town's night clubs.

Torremolinos history is up to 1950 is similar to that of many coastal towns of Andalucia. In the 1950's it became the ‘in place' and in the 1960's experienced ultra growth due to the tourism boom.
